Which roof would you prefer to stand under?
Roof (A), or Roof B?

As you can see, the roof under the letter "A" has a foundation with height, width, length, and depth. This roof is supported by all four of these measurements. The roof under letter "B" has no foundation to support it. It is unlikely and unnatural for a roof to hang in place with no foundation to support it. It would therefore be unwise for anyone to stand under it. In the same way, it is unwise for anyone to build his or her faith on something or someone without some form of evidence to support that faith. It is for this reason that the Gift of Faith is given to us by GOD that we might build or faith on a firm foundation. For it is written in HIS Word, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). In other words, HE has provided the Substance and the Evidence through Which the Truth of GOD is revealed. In presenting HIS Word to us, it is clear that no one has the ability of himself to find the Truth of GOD. It is HE that reveals to us HIS Truth. The one question we should seek an answer would be, "How would HIS Truth be revealed to us if we desired to receive the Truth?"

It is often the case that people are asked to believe in some statement as fact, and to accept that statement as truth to form a belief. Sometimes the given statement can be proven to have a foundation to support that given statement. But often times, people are asked to believe a statement without some form of foundation and are expected to accept that statement by faith without seeing the support for that given statement. This form of faith is what you might call "blind faith", or "unsupported faith". There are many, who search for the Truth and are proclaiming to have the Truth, but they are not able to see the difference between the faith, which is supported by the Substance and Evidence from God and the faith, which has no support from God.

Some might come to the studies presented here on this sight seeking only for direct answers to their questions, but not seeking the understanding for the answers. By building on this form of foundation, or no foundation at all, he or she will not have faith in the answer that is given. And although the answer could be correct, there is no trust in it, because there is no foundation of faith for the answer. As a result, the answer is rejected as the answer, or even a possible answer for the question that was being asked.

Many, who are sincere in searching for a foundation to stand on, have not the patience to establish that foundation on the Knowledge and Understanding of God's Word. They would run to a statement of interest and accept that statement only if it fits with their foundation of understanding, or with their already preconceived ideas. If it does not fit with their foundation, they would see no reason to accept the given statement and would therefore reject it. The real question we must all answer is this, "Upon whose foundation are we building our faith in the knowledge of GOD?" According to the Word of GOD by His servant Paul, it is Christ, Who, by His love passes to us the Knowledge, which is rooted and grounded in our hearts to fill us with all the fullness of GOD.

As it is written, "Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars" (Proverbs 9:1). "Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man [is] strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors [there is] safety. Wisdom [is] too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate" (Proverbs 24:3-7).
