To Let HIS Light Shine

Through His friend Matthew, The Holy One of GOD shined HIS Light to us and said, "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 5:13-16).

The LORD said that we are to be as the salt of the earth, but what do men understand by this saying? To help us to understand the meaning on this saying, HE has shined The Light of HIS Word through Paul to the church, which is called to be at His side, saying, "Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech [be] alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man" (Colossians 4:5,6).

According to GOD'S Instruction given through Paul, we are to walk in Wisdom to those, who have not The Wisdom of GOD, to speak with HIS Gift of Grace, that we might know how we are to speak The Truth by HIS Spirit of Love in us, that they might be preserved to know The Truth of GOD, Who works through us for His Glory. For we are to let The Light of GOD'S Word shine out through us, to do HIS Will in us and through us in all the world, that all the world might see The Good Works, or The Good deeds of GOD'S Word being done, that they with us might glorify our Father, Which is in heaven. Paul also said, "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak" (Colossians 4:2-4).

Notice that Paul sought for prayers to GOD from those, who believed as he did, that GOD might open a door of utterance that he and Timotheus might speak The Mystery of Christ to the hearts of men, who had not The Wisdom of GOD abiding in them. For the mystery of The Fullness of GOD in Christ is so misunderstood by the hearts of men that The Lord through John testified to our hearts and said, "...God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God" (John 3:16-21).

According to The Word through John, The Father so loved us that HE gave to us The Gift of HIS Only begotten Son, that if we would believe in His Testimony of what He has seen and heard from above, we would not perish, but would have Life Eternal. HE The Father did not send HIS Son into the world to condemn us for our sins, but that we through our belief and faith in Him might be saved. If we believe His Testimony of what He has revealed, then we are not condemned. If however, men have chosen to reject His Testimony, Which is given to them from above, then they are condemned already. Why? Because they have choose not to believe and receive The Testimony of HIS Only begotten Son, Who is The Expressed Image and Glory of The Father to all.

What is so sad to receive and believe, is the message The Word has revealed to us through His servant John, who said, "He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him]" (John 3:31-34).

Notice the reason why Paul sought for a door of utterance to speak and shine The Mystery of Christ. If The LIGHT of GOD'S Word is revealed only through The Open Door of The Gift of HIS Son, Who reveals to us The Fullness of GOD to men, and Paul was made an open door to reveal The Grace and Mercy of GOD'S Word of Truth; then if men through their blindness should choose to shut the doors of their own hearts to The Light given of GOD through HIS Word, then they by their rejection of The Spirit of Truth through Paul, or The Gift of The Light and Life of GOD'S Word in him, they by their rejection of The Word and Spirit in him, have chosing to remain in darkness under the control and power of the enemy of GOD and man.

Knowing the dilemma of our hearts to know for a certainty that the words being presented to us are of The Truth in a world full of darkness and error, GOD has revealed to our hearts HIS Word of Truth by The Open Door of HIS Word, Who passes to us HIS Knowledge that we might Know Him through those, who are called to His side to reveal HIS Name.

Receiving and reflecting The Light from
The Open Door to the doors ministering to His Body the church.

Because Paul was called to the side of Christ, to do His Will in ministering to the called out ones to be His Body, Paul testified and said, "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.

GOD The Father works by HIS Word, Who works HIS Will
through those, who minister HIS Word to His Body the church.

"But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:1-13).

Notice that The Gift of GOD, Who has been given to men, has given of His Own Power gifts to men, whom He has called to His side that He through them might minister and edify His Own Body The Church, which He has suffered and died for and was raised from the dead and ascended up on high, to fill all things with The Knowledge of The Light of His Glory. But not all have submitted to The Father's Will, Which is made known to us through The Gift of HIS Son to know Him.

Through the door of John's heart,
The Word of GOD revealed HIS Light of Truth to us.

Through the open door of flesh, The Word Testified through John and said, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

The doors that are shut to the receiving of The True Light, Who gives
Light and Life to every man born into the world; they are antichrist, who have
shut and eclipsed The Light of GOD'S Word from reaching the hearts of men through them.

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him" (1 John 4:1-16).

Notice that the message through John was one that reveals to us the difference between the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error. With the message being revealed through John and the message through Paul, we see that The Spirit of Truth is he, who opens his heart to The Word of GOD that He might Minister His gifts through him, to His Body the church. It is he that will confess The Truth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh of men, that He might work The Father's Will in and through those, who will respond to His call. But he that rejects The Truth, to deny Christ, Who works The Will of GOD through men, he it is that rejects The Light and Life of Christ, Who came to do The Will of The Father in and through all, who would receive Him.

Paul wanted to confirm in the hearts of men,
that The Voice they heard through him was not his voice.

Through Paul The Word said, "Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses [was faithful] in all his house. For this [man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. For every house is builded by some [man]; but he that built all things [is] God. And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

"But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in [their] heart; and they have not known my ways.

"So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

"But with whom was he grieved forty years? [was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief" (Hebrews 3:1-19).

If men never open the doors of their hearts to The Light of GOD'S Word, then HE The Father will not able to give to them The Gift of His Understanding and Wisdom, Who does The Works of GOD through men.

Through John, Jesus testified and said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

"This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [ it] more abundantly" (John 10:1-10).

Jesus became One with us that we might become acquainted with His Voice and follow Him when He calls. He is The Only Door through Whom The Father reveals HIS Will to men. He is The Father's Sheep, Who knows HIS Voice, and we follow Him as The Head, Who leads us to The Father, WHO sent Him.

Through Mark, The Lord said, "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, [even] at the doors. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

"[For the Son of man is] as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch" (Mark 13:28-37).

The question we must ask ourselves, as we continue in this study is this,
"Will we respond to HIS VOICE through HIS Word when He calls?"
