As you seek to understand this study on "The Demonstration of The Spirit and of Power", I pray that our hearts might be perfected as One in Christ that the hidden wisdom, Which The Father has ordained unto our glory might be received in our hearts through HIS Connection established in us that out of us might shine forth HIS Light, to glorify and honor HIS NAME in HIS Church. Amen.

If we are seeking to understand and receive The Revelation given by GOD to men, and are seeking to do this by beginning first with this third study in this series, without first understanding and receiving the first two presentations, then we are seeking the impossible of building our understanding of HIS Revelation from what could be the second, or third floor of your comprehension of HIS Gift. Without taking the steps of building from the foundation of the first two presentations, The Revelation given by GOD in HIS Word would be impossible to comprehend.

For The Word of GOD said, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:7-9). Each presentation is built on the study presented previously that we might understand The Revelation given by GOD in HIS Word. So to begin our study on part 2 in this series, I would ask this question,

If the world cannot receive The Spirit of Truth,
because it cannot see Him, or know Him,
is it safe then to say that all, who call on
The Lord, understand and know The Person
known as The Holy Spirit?

Could you, or I by our searching find The
Person known as The Holy Spirit?

Has GOD revealed The Truth on
The Spirit of Truth?

Could we understand The GODHEAD by
our human understanding?

This same question was raised by one of Jobís friends, as he was speaking to Job, saying, "Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?" (Job 11:7) In his letter to the church in Rome, Paul testified and said, "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!?" (Romans 11:33)

Could this be the reason why the world does not believe that GOD exists? Could it be the reason why, after having been in space for so many months, an astronaut could say that he could not find GOD out there? If by searching, we cannot find out God, or make a distinction between one spirit from another, how then would we know The Spirit of Truth from the spirits of error? Do we have the eyes of faith to see and know The Holy Spirit, Who guides us into all truth? Are we relying on the guides of enticing words of manís wisdom, or on the demonstration of The Spirit and of Power?

Who do we follow as our guide?

Who was it that revealed to the hearts
of men that Jesus is the Son of God
that we might come unto Him
and believe in Him?

If we were living during the establishment of the early Christian church, could we by our searching come to the Son of God? Did He go around revealing Himself to everyone, saying "I am the Christ" that we might come and follow Him? Could we have walked up to Him and identify Him as The Christ? Or would we have gone around asking the question to everyone, who fit our mold, saying, "Are You The Christ?" How did the disciples know that Jesus is the Son of GOD that they might believe on Him?

Some might be quick to jump in here and give an easy answer to this question by saying, "It was The Holy Spirit that revealed Him to them", or "It was the third divine member of the godhead that revealed Him to them". No matter what answer we give, if we interject human reasoning by leaning on our own understanding than on The Word of GOD, and trusting not in The LORD with our whole heart, we would never come to the Knowledge of The Truth given by GOD.

It is written in The Word saying, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:44). Do we understand the answer that is given to us by The Word? Let us look at the answer more closely. The Word says, No man can come to Him, except the Father, WHO has sent Him draws the man, who will come unto Him.

Now here is a question for us to consider. If there are men and women searching for The Son of GOD, and they were expecting Him to come among them based on His written Word, how would they be drawn to the Son of God by The Father, WHOM they have not seen, or had the ability of seeing that they might be drawn to HIS Son?

Who is it that draws men to Christ?
How is it that men are
drawn to Christ?

John the Baptist was a prophet, who was sent by GOD to prepare the hearts of the people to receive The Way. He testified of what he heard and said, "This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him" (John 1:30-32).

In the testimony of John, who was sent to make manifest to Israel The One, Who was preferred before him, we find that he knew Him not, but was sent to make Him known to men through his work of baptism with water. From his testimony, more questions are raised. Questions like, How did John know that This is He that is preferred before him? How is it that he knew that This is He and yet, he admits that he did not know Him? Who was it that revealed to John that "This is He, Whom he was sent to reveal, or to make known to Israel?" And if he knew Him not, Who was before him, how could he identify The Spirit that descended from heaven like a dove and abode and remain upon Him?

Could it be that The Same Way the prophets of old received the thoughts and ways of GOD, is The Same Way that John received That, Which he heard and learned of GOD that he might reveal The Father's Will to Israel, to receive and come unto HIS Son? To confirm The Truth and not rely on man's wisdom, John continued with his testimony and said, "...I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God" (John 1:33,34).

Notice that in the four verses that we have read of John's testimony, John has declared twice that he did not know Him. Yet, after recognizing Him as The One, Who told him to go and baptize with water, and what to look for, because of the things that Jesus said would happen, John was willing to made Him known. Jesus did not reveal Himself to anyone that He was the Son of GOD. Yet, John was called of GOD to make Him known to men. If Jesus went around declaring Himself as The Son of GOD, He would have been seeking His own glory. It was not until the time was fulfilled for His baptism from heaven that He was made known to men that He was The Son of GOD. Until that time, He waited on The Father to be The ONE, WHO made Him known to John.

For The Word of the LORD said, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:44). To confirm The Truth that it was The Father, WHO draws men to HIS Word, Luke testified and said, "Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

"As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways [shall be] made smooth; And all flesh shall see the salvation of God" (Luke 3:2-5).

It is clear that The Word of GOD was sent of GOD to all the prophets, including John the Baptist, to be a Witness of GOD to all, who would believe on Him, Whom HE The Father has sent? All the prophets, who received The Word of GOD, were sent of GOD by The Word to do HIS Will. The disciple John confirmed this Truth in his gospel, and said, "There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light" (John 1:6-8)

Could this be the demonstration in which The Father has call all men to bear witness that all men might come to The Light of GOD and be saved? Yet, the question remains, "If The Father has not been seen by men at anytime, and HE is THE ONE, WHO revealed to John, The Son of GOD, then how is it that The Father revealed to John that Jesus is HIS Son, if Jesus never told him that He is The Son of GOD?"

Notice that John did not know Who it was that would be baptized by The Spirit from heaven. He only knew before hand from Him, Whom he knew not that he would witness the event of One, being baptized from above, Who will also baptize men with The Holy Ghost. It was at the anointing of Jesus at the beginning of His ministry that Matthew recorded saying, "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17).

Peter also testified of a similar event, saying, "For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (2Peter 1:17).

Could it be that no one but The Father could honored and glorify HIS Son by revealing to men that Jesus is HIS only beloved Son? If the prophets heard The Father speaking to them through HIS Word, then would The Father speak to HIS Son on earth through someone else? Notice that Peter testified that A VOICE from the excellent glory came to Him from The Father and not someone else.

The disciple John wrote of the prophet John and said, "Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?" (John 1:35-38).

Could it be that these two disciples followed Jesus, because of the witness of John the Baptist? Could it be that John became the greatest prophet, because he was called upon to make manifest to men The Messiah, Whom The Father had sent? John continued with his testimony on how the other disciples came to abide with Jesus. After being questioned by John's disciples as to where it was that He was staying, "He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peterís brother. He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ" (John 1:39-41).

Could it be that they were diligently looking for Him, but it was GOD, The Father, WHO revealed Him to them? Could it be that the other disciples accepted Jesus as the Messiah, or the Christ, because of the witness they had received from those, who said, come and see Him, Whom we have found? Speaking of Andrew and how he witnessed to his brother, John wrote and said, "...he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me. Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter" (John 1:42-44).

After Jesus called His disciples to follow Him, and revealed to them and the people the miracles that were being done by Him, Matthew wrote of Jesus and said, "When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?" (Matthew 16:13).

Could this question to His disciples be similar to the question that is being addressed to His church today? Saying, Who do men say is The Comforter, or The Spirit of Truth?

Who reveals to us The Son of Man, The Comforter, or The Holy Spirit?

So, the answer to the question has been revealed. Did this revelation come to us from flesh and blood? Did the Revelation initially come to the heart of man through a third divine person? Have you received the keys from heaven that will open to your heart The Answers to these questions?

It is written, "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (John 1:10-13).

Let us look at the points revealed to us in this passage of Scripture to confirm in our hearts the Truth of GOD.

1. Jesus was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.
2. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
3. As many as received Him, to them HE gave Power to become the sons of God.
4. HE gave Power to become the sons of God, even to them that believed on His name.
5. They are born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Could the rejection of Christ by His own people (The Jewish nation) be repeated again by His own church in these last days? Could the church like the Jewish nation be rejecting The Holy Spirit, because they know Him not? Is it not possible that The Spirit of GOD is in the world today and is seeking to guide men and women to build their faith on The Foundation Rock of Truth? Could it be that He comes to the church, which should be born of Him and the church receives Him not, because the church does not see Him, or know Him?

Jesus testified and said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you" (John 14:15-17).

If the church relies on the wisdom of the world, which knows not the Spirit of Truth, nor has the ability of see Him, then it means that it is not aware of the Spirit of Truth, Who leads men into all Truth. Therefore many in the church are open to follow the gates of hell into darkness, by rejecting The Power, Which GOD has given to reveal to the hearts of men the deep things of GOD that we might become His witnesses of Truth. By rejecting the Holy Spirit, the Church would be rejecting the only means by which the deep things of GOD are made known and are understood by those, who are taught of GOD that we all might be drawn to Christ.

As one, who was sent to prepare The hearts of men to receive Him, Whom The Father has sent, John testified and said, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil" (John 3:16-19).

And being amazed at the MIGHTY POWER of GOD, WHICH was placed in the hands of The Son of GOD, the disciples wondered every one at all the things that Jesus did. He said unto them, "Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men. But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying" (Luke 9:44,45).

Notice that The Father has given all things into the hand of HIS Son, Whom HE love, but not many have received His testimony of Truth, Which The Father has revealed to us through HIS Son. Because of this, His sayings are hid also from those who mishandle the Word of God. My Prayer for us as we continue to study HIS Word, is that we might trust in the LORD with our whole heart and lean not to our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge HIM that HE might direct our path by Him, Whom HE has sent. Amen.

The next study in this series is The Revelation of His Testimony, which many are failing to receive deep down into their ears. What is His testimony?
