In this second presentation we will be dealing with the dilemma in receiving The Revelation GOD has delivered to men. As we seek to receive GOD'S Revelation to our hearts, we must first seek The LORD in prayer that HE, by HIS Spirit might open to our understanding HIS Revelation. For The Revelation given by GOD to men is a mystery that is hard for the world to receive; even for those within the church, who are following the teachings of the world. For it is through The Gift of Faith that the things of GOD are seen, and have been revealed. Although men might see and read HIS written word, many do not comprehend The Gift HE has revealed to them.
It is wise for each person to spend some time in The Word of GOD each day that he or she might reflect from the heart The Truth of the Word of God. However, because some versions of the Bible might not present the phrasing of Scripture in the same way as another version, these presentations will be using the King James Version of the Bible to help minimize any controversy in the delivering and the receiving of these important studies. Once you have discerned The Mystery and have understood It in this version, then you can seek to represent the study in another version. Although we may try to avoid any controversy in the receiving of this Mystery of GOD, there is however a dilemma in manís ability to recognize and receive The Truth GOD has given. A perfect example of this dilemma is the crucifixion of The Gift of Life.
Remember what Jesus said about having eyes to see and seeing not, and ears to hear and not understanding? The LORD said, "For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8,9).
Has this verse in any way confirm to you that there is a dilemma in manís ability of himself to receive the thoughts of GOD? To confirm whether or not this is true, John testified and said, "...I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon" (Revelation 5:1-3).
Where was The Book seen, and how many versions did John see? Could anyone just take The Book and open to the understanding of all The Things, which were sealed both within and on the backside? From this dilemma, John testified and said, "...I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof" (Revelation 5:4,5 ).
From this verse, we could see that only one person in all of heaven and earth and under the earth has prevailed, and was found worthy to open The Book and to loose the seven seals thereof. It is in Him, The Root of David that we must trust to open to us the mysteries of GOD. For the opening of the Book means more than just the turning of the pages, or the reading with our eyes that which is on the page. It is having the ability, or of prevailing against the power of darkness to perceive and to bring to light the things sealed, or packaged within the seven seals, and bring to Light the thoughts and ways of GOD, which no man or angel could do. This brings us to the dilemma in receiving The Mysteries of GOD. Letís look at another example of this dilemma. This example is based on reading the words of Jesus found in The Scriptures, as he speaks to one of the two thieves that were crucified with Him on that crucifixion day.
Click the picture to receive and understand one of the biggest dilemmas
presented from misunderstanding The Word of GOD.
If we are trusting in The LORD in all of our ways to direct us on the path of Truth without crucifying HIS Word in our hands, then the question we must ask is this, "Have we always acknowledged HIM to Guide us to where we are in our understanding of HIS Word? Have we trusted more in our own hearts to follow our own path, which has led us to our own interpretation of The Scriptures to try and understand HIS Word? Are we today on the path where The LORD wants us to be in our understanding of HIS Word of Truth? Is it possible that our Christian churches are divided today, because we are divided on HIS Word of Truth?
Due to the wisdom of man, in his views on seeking to understand The Holy Spirit, most of Christianity today have fallen prey to the deception of the enemy, because of a simple error in the translation of the Scriptures through manís interpretation and understanding of the Truth. Like the verse that says, Jesus would be in paradise that day, many have taken one verse in all of Scripture on "The Holy Spirit" to support their beliefs, which goes against all the other verses that says something different. And with this one verse on The Holy Spirit, they are viewing all the other verses in The Scripture, which supports a different view.
Because of our focus on how many ways The Scripture can be packaged to reach the world, rather than delivering to the world That, Which GOD has delivered to man, most of Christianity today have built their beliefs, and have promoted that belief on The Holy Spirit based on an error in the interpretation and understanding of The Word of GOD.
By interpreting incorrectly the one verse of Scripture, all the other verses that say something different is viewed through this one misinterpreted verse. And because of this misinterpretation of this one verse, The Truth on The Holy Spirit remained sealed to the hearts and minds of men and women in the world.
To point out to you at this time the error in the translation of Scripture on The Holy Spirit, without first presenting The evidence to support and confirm The Truth, would be like trying to convince a body of Bible believing Christians that Jesus did not go to paradise on the day of His crucifixion, when many have already accepted and have read from The Scriptures that Jesus did go to paradise that day. Although some might be open to hear The evidence for The Truth, many would reject The Truth, because they have already accepted as Truth the error in the translation.
This would create a controversy between Truth and error and would cause the Bible believing Christians to continue in their doctrine of error, because it is what they believe The Scripture says that He did, even though The Word made it clear that He had not yet ascended to our Father. Do you see the dilemma in this example of receiving the Truth? Before presenting the evidence that will support the Truth of the Holy Spirit, I would like to present a quote from the writings of a Lady named Ellen G. White through whom God revealed the plans of the enemy.
(Click) As you read this writing, see if the plans of the enemy
have not already affected the churches in our land today.
When Satan came to The Word of the LORD to tempt Him, Jesus said unto him, "...It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). Are we really to live by every word of God?
After reading this verse from the 8 Bible translations of the New Testament, each translation, or version of the Bible made it clear that man shall live by every Word that proceeds from the Mouth of GOD. However, is this the purpose for which we have so many different English versions of the Bible? Has these many versions of the Bible help to bring us closer to Christ and each other, or more apart from each other and The LORD? It is said that some versions of the Bible give a clearer revealing of the Word of God than other versions, but is this really the intention of those who seek to reveal the Truth?
Jesus said, "...I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life: no man cometh unto The Father, but by Me" (John 14:6). If He is The Only Way to The Father, is The Way open to interpretation by us, who are seeking to find The Way? Today, we have many versions and interpretations of The Bible, and most are proclaiming to be the Word of God. Yet, it was the misinterpretation of Godís Word that led to manís sin and death? However, by receiving and returning to the Truth given by GOD, we will have The Light of Life from HIS Word to Guide us. For Peter has testified and said, "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts" (2Peter 1:19).
As the world gets deeper and deeper in darkness to the Knowledge of Truth, We need to take heed to the Sure Word of Prophecy as unto a Light that Shines in our darken hearts until The Day dawn and The Day Star arises in our hearts. For Peter also said, "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation" (2Peter 1:20). The Day Star cannot dawn upon our hearts, if we have a variety of private interpretations from which to choose. For it was revealed that only One person has prevailed to open the seven seals of That Book. It is He, Who arises in our hearts that will interpret for us the Sure Word of Prophecy, and will help us to convey that message to others, if we trust in Him.
Understanding this Truth, Peter went on to say, "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" (2Peter 1:21). If some of these translations of the Bible were created to promote doctrinal views to fit certain denominations, or persuasions, then it would be difficult to clearly reveal and receive The Truth of GOD by the will of man through his, or her own private interpretations. Yet, according to Peter, it was not up to these holy men of GOD to decide by their own will what to proclaim to us of the things of GOD. For The Things were not of men, but of GOD.
Peter said, "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of" (2Peter 2:1,2 ). Is it not possible that there are already false prophets and teachers among us, who are defrauding the world with a counterfeit of the gospel, and denying and robbing The Lord of His Glory, by teachings their pernicious ways against The Truth, because they know not The Way of Truth?
If Satan corrupted the faith of the Jewish religion, which caused many of them to deny The Lord, could he not likewise cause many within the church to deny The Lord His glory, by causing many to follow malicious teachings proclaimed by the wisdom of men? If we are not trusting in GOD to guide our hearts into The Knowledge of Truth, then the things we desire to understand will remain sealed from our understanding. An example is given to us by The Word of how The Things of GOD, Which are revealed by Him are missed, because of the reasoning of men.
Example on the road to Emmaus
For The Word said, "...It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). But many have joined in the chorus with Satan, Saying, "It does not matter which version we use, because they all help us to open and understand the Word of God."
If Satan corrupted the faith of Israel, by causing them to contemplate and worship their own conceptions, would he not also seek to do the same by rebuilding the faith of the Church from the Solid Rock to stand upon foundations of sinking sand? If men cannot of themselves open The One Book, Which is in The Hand of HIM, WHO sits upon the throne, could we by our many interpretations do that, which only The Word of GOD can do?
If we desire to perceive the revelation of the Holy Spirit, Who is invisible to the world, then we must live by every word that proceeds out of The Mouth of God, and not by the altered thoughts of GOD presented by the will of men. As Satan perverted the faith of Israel, likewise, he is seeking to pervert the faith of all, who seek to follow The Word of GOD. For The Word of GOD said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive" (John 14:15-17).
Yet, as Satan blinded Eve with the altered words of GOD, likewise he is seeking to blind the hearts of men and women to think that the church will receive The Spirit of Truth, as a reward for disobeying The Commands of GOD. He is even trying to convince men and women that the Law of GOD and the Law of Moses is the same law that was nailed to the cross of Christ. If the world is blinded to The Truth, would they love and receive The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive?
Is it possible that GOD would grant to give Another Comforter, and even The Spirit of Truth, as a Gift to abide forever in those, who are not willing to follow His Command? Do we not have evidence in the written Word of those, who harden their hearts, and rebelled against The Will of GOD for their lives? Notice the reason why the world cannot receive The Spirit of Truth.
Speaking of The Spirit of Truth to HIS disciples, Which they were to receive on condition of obeying The Father's Commandments, The Word of GOD said, "...the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you" (John 14:17). Yet, many within the world, who keep not the first part of the promise of GOD are now proclaiming to know and have The Other Comforter, even the Spirit of Truth abiding with them, and is in them. If this is true, that they do know HIM, and He abides in them, then The Spirit of Truth would have revealed to them The Truth, as He has revealed to John and all, who obey HIM.
For it is written, "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1John 1:5-8).
If we have received The Spirit of Truth, Which is delivered to our hearts, then we would know by HIS Light if we are in fellowship one with another, because we will be walking in obedience to HIS Will and not breaking His Commandments. For the world cannot receive The Spirit of Truth, because it walks in darkness away from The Truth, Who desires to abide in men to do The Will of The Father. For this reason the Word says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6).
Could it be that by faith, all who diligently seek The LORD will be rewarded to know HIM and see Him, Whom the world cannot receive, because they have not received HIS Gift of faith to see Him? As one, who was rewarded by GOD to co-present HIS Word to the church in Corinth, Paul testified on how he lived by every Word that proceeded out of the Mouth of God.
Living by The Word of GOD
If Paul were to come to you and say, "I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling..." then He would be saying the same thing that was said to the church in Philippi where he said, "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:12,13).
Notice WHO is doing the Work in us that the Father might be glorified. If we are doing anything to obey The Will of The Father, is it to glorify men, or The One, Who works through us to glorify The Father? In looking again at the testimony of Paul, we find that the work that Jesus did, was being done through him, for he testified and said, "my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of manís wisdom". Notice that Paul has acknowledged that The Source and origin of his speech and his preaching was not of men, but of GOD. He testified of this by saying that his speech and his preaching was, "in demonstration of the Spirit and of power".
Could it be that he is saying that the demonstration, which is of The Spirit and of Power is a revealing of the works, which Jesus said, ďHe that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also"? If we are to work The Same works that Jesus did, then it will be Him working through us, "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." And if the source of our faith is based on the wisdom of men, then there will be no Power there, and Lord would say, "I know you not whence ye are.ď
If we are to receive the revelation of The Invisible Things of GOD, then we must base our faith and our Speech and preaching in demonstration of The Spirit and of Power that all, who receive The Revelation of GOD might stand not in the wisdom of men, but in The Power of GOD. The question we must answer then is this,
Our Speech and preaching-
Do we believe and trust in the answers
given to us by men more than in Him,
Whom the Father has sent?
Is our speech and preaching a demonstration
of The Spirit and of Power, that all might stand
in The Power of GOD and not in the wisdom of men?
Our Speech and preaching-
Paul testified and said, "Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory" (1 Corinthians 2:6,7).
Could it be that it is hard to speak the hidden wisdom of GOD among those, who base their faith on the wisdom of men, because they see not The Things of GOD by HIS Word? Could this be the reason why the LORD will not be able to open to the hearts of those, who see not The Source of Truth, because they never open to their hearts The Gift of Faith to see beyond the things that are seen?
Because of this dilemma, the revelation of The Things of GOD, like knowing The Holy Spirit, and the hidden wisdom, which God has ordained before the world unto our glory remains hidden and sealed from the eyes of many within the church, because they never received HIS Gift of Faith to receive The Truth of GOD. John testified of this dilemma and said, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error" (1 John 4:4-6).
If the LORD could not open The Door of Truth to the people of the world, then all who overcome the world will have the same dilemma. For if we speak not according to the world, they will not hear us. But, if they are of GOD, they will hear us, and HE that is in them, will give them Power to know The Spirit of Truth, from the spirit of error. Because of this dilemma, the world knew HIM not, therefore HE knew them not, because they believed not on Him, Whom The Father has sent.
Because Paul and the other disciples believed on The LORD, he testified and said, "...we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God" (1 Corinthians 2:7-10).
And because men see not the things of GOD, they continue to crucify the Lord of glory by altering the Word of Truth to fit the wisdom of men. Let us look again at what is being revealed to us by The Spirit of Truth. He said, that Which has been ordained unto our glory, none of the princes of this world knew. Had they known this hidden wisdom of God, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. Their eyes have not seen, nor have their ears heard, neither has The Things of GOD entered into their hearts, which GOD has prepared for them that love Him. Yet, GOD has revealed to us The Things, which no eyes have seen and no ears have heard. HE has done this by HIS Spirit, Who searches the deep things of GOD.
Paul said that The Hidden Wisdom of GOD was not known by the princes of this world, because their faith did not stand in the Power of GOD. They crucified the Lord of Glory by supporting their faith on the enticing words of manís wisdom, which amounts to nothing. They saw not, nor heard not, neither did The Truth dawn upon their hearts of the things, which GOD has prepared for all, who love Him, because, they believed not on Him, Whom the Father has sent.
Many will strive to enter in and to receive the Living Manna of GOD, but they will not be able to enter in until they are willing to do the works of GOD, which is to believe on Him, Whom HE has sent. Until men put their faith and trust in HIS Word, Whom HE has sent, they will stand and build their faith on the enticing words of manís wisdom and not in The Power of GOD. They will cry unto the LORD, knocking at HIS Door, saying LORD, Lord, Open YOUR Hidden Wisdom unto us. Yet, HIS Word has not been glorified in them. For if we are to receive the Revelation of The Things of GOD, then we must base our speech and our preaching in the presenting of HIS Word, Which GOD has already given to us.
For It is Written, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6).
Through Paul, It was said by the Power of GOD, "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things. But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:14-17).
This brings us right back to the receiving of every word that is written, or That Which has proceeded out of the Mouth of God. For, He is the only One that was found worthy to open and to interpret for us The Things of GOD. Whatever report we present in our speech and in our preaching, It should be based not on the enticing words of manís wisdom, but on the hearing and the receiving of The Spirit and of Power of GOD. For the Word, Which has been Sent of GOD has come to fulfill in us the Work of GOD, that we might obey the gospel of GOD unto Life Eternal.
But, as it was in the days of old, many who received not the report, or understood not the report given to them, Satan has led them to spread enticing words of manís wisdom that through them he might cause the hearts of men to be filled with error and reject The Spirit and Power of GOD. As it is Written, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil" (Proverb 3:5-7).
As we work in all our ways, by acknowledging Him, Who works in us, He fulfills in us the works of God, to direct our paths in HIS Will. It is my prayer that we pray to The Father that we might believe and obey HIS Word, that we might receive The Truth HE has ordained before the world unto our glory, that we might be filled With HIS Spirit to over flowing, to do all that HE has called on us to do in accordance with HIS Will, for HIS Glory, I pray. Amen. The next study in this series of presentations is The Demonstration of the Spirit and of Power.
