How do we repent and return to The LORD, when we have been led
by the enemy to turn and reject HIM and HIS Word?

In the study "What is Hell?", we focused on the two forms of hell, and the nature of the destruction of those, who choose to follow the ways of the enemy, rather than The Way of GOD by HIS Word, Which is GOD'S Ark of Safety for those, Who obey HIM. And because the majority is deceived into choosing to follow the ways of the enemy, they were destroyed in the flood, in the city of Sodom and Gomorrah. And with a glimpse of what it would be like at the coming of The Lord, we saw what the finial day would be like for those, who are deceived into rejecting The Gift of GOD. We looked also at the three righteous boys, who were spiritual giants over those, who bowed to the image that the king set up to worship his authority over the people. And even though the lives of the boys were threaten by men, who made the fire to be seven times hotter than normal, they stood for The Way of GOD, rather than the corrupt ways of man. But those, who violated The Authority of GOD, they will face a fire seven times hotter than the sun, which is made by GOD, WHO made all things by HIS Word.

Because the earth was filled with violence, and all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth, it was revealed to Noah by GOD that the violators of HIS Way would be destroy with the earth. And, By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith" (Hebrews 11:7). By believing GOD, WHOM he served and obeyed, Noah moved with fear, and acted on his faith in building an ark to save his household.

When the three Hebrew boys stood for their faith, when everyone else bow down, they were willing to backup their faith, and suffer temporary lost of life, but gain Life Eternal with The MOST HOLY ONE, WHOM they served and obeyed. It is also revealed in Scripture that Abraham had faith in GOD, and he backup that faith by his walk to Mount Moriah, to offer his only son as a sacrifice to GOD as he was commanded to do. James said, "...a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God" (James 2:18-23).

We may pray for revival in our hearts, in our own homes, in our churches, and even in the way we treat our friend and neighbors, and those with whom we work, but unless we actually turn to The LORD with our whole heart, and walk in The Light of HIS Word, rather than in darkness to HIS Will, HE will not turn to make HIS Face to shine upon us. For if revival starts in the heart, it is written, "Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD [are] upon the righteous, and his ears [are open] unto their cry. The face of the LORD [is] against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. [The righteous] cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD [is] nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit" (Psalms 34:13-18).

Notice that the ripple effect, or the influence of change for good, or bad starts from the temple of the heart, where the principles of Life are established, or not well defined, or they have been rewritten to follow the ways of the enemy against one's own will or knowledge. When the enemy led David to commit adultery with Bathsheba, he was led also to cause Uriah--Bathsheba's husband to be killed, to cover up his own sin. And once the death of Uriah was accomplished, and his wife had time to mourn his death, David took her to himself and made her his wife. With Bathsheba now his wife, and his sin appeared to be covered, the enemy blinded his mind to the condition of his heart and the distance he had drifted away from The LORD, in walking against the principles of HIS Word. As a result of his blindness to his condition, in being separated from GOD, The LORD by HIS Word sent Nathan to open his eyes to where he was in his relationship with The LORD. David was so angry against the man that Nathan painted in his mind that he said, "...to Nathan, [As] the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this [thing] shall surely die" (2 Samuel 12:5). He was revealing from his own heart how GOD looked at his sin, and the result that comes to those, who follow the path of sin.

From David's experience of walking in darkness from The LORD, and by The Grace of GOD shining The Light of HIS Word through Nathan, he was led to write the Psalm quoted above for our learning. For it's much easier to look at the faults of others, than to look at our own faults, and repent from them. Many times The LORD will use a righteous person, who is of a contrite spirit, Who walks with HIS Word, to come along side, and with humble hearts reflect His Light of Truth to those, whose minds have been darken by the enemy, to see not their condition in walking away from GOD and HIS Word. But often times, as we have seen in the lives of those, who stood for The Truth, to reflect His Light to reveal where the enemy has led in darkness; The Light of GOD'S Word suffer and is rejected through those, who are sent in His Name.

If men in darkness to The Light of GOD'S Word continue to reject The Light sent to them from GOD through HIS Word, then from where will they receive HIS Word of Light and Life to change the direction of their path of darkness to death? It is with this understanding that David cried out to GOD and said, "Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me [with thy] free spirit. [Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: [and] my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise" (Psalms 51:9-15). Notice that it took The Light of GOD'S Word shinning on David to reveal his sin, and for him to seek a revival of his heart, to sing aloud The Righteousness of The LORD by HIS Holy Spirit in him.

Paul was sent to reflect The Light of GOD'S Word to the church at Corinth that they might walk in The Light of GOD'S Word to Life, and not in darkness to death. If the ripple effect, or the influence of change for good, or for evil starts in the heart, then the established principles of Light and Life, or darkness and death will reveal The Spirit of GOD, or the spirit of the enemy, who abides there in the heart. To reveal the condition of our hearts, Paul said to the church, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, [even] your perfection" (2 Corinthians 13:5-9).

Although the majority of Christians might believe in the second coming, or the advent of Christ, many are confuse as to what to believe, or Who to believe, and Who is revealing The Truth. In the days of Noah, The LORD not only revealed to him that the earth was full of violence, but that all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. With no apparent Light to Guide men to The Truth, to examine their own hearts, many had followed what seemed right in their own eyes, and not What GOD was revealing to them right before their eyes, like the animals going into the ark.

Today, many are requesting that The Light of Truth be turn down to a compromising position that other views, other ways, or other ideas might be heard. In other words, that certain Sound of Truth in GOD'S Word should not be heard so loud, to prevent alternative ways from being heard, because no man can be sure of The Truth. Men must remain in the dark, to be deceived in following the ways of darkness and death. Yet, The Word of The LORD said, "...what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels" (Mark 8:36-38).

But many have become ashamed of The Word of GOD, to gain the respect and fellowship of the world. They have been led by the enemy to compromise The Light of GOD'S Word to allow the views of darkness to take root and establish his corrupt principles in the hearts of men. Jesus said to His disciples, "...The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see [it]. And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after [them], nor follow [them]. For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one [part] under heaven, shineth unto the other [part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all" (Luke 17:22-27).

Notice that before the coming of The Lord in His Day, in The Glory of His Father, and with the holy angels, He would first suffered many things through those, who are sent in His Name. The hearts of men would choose to walk in darkness rather than in The Light of The Day Star of the heart. As it was in past generations, those, who rejected The Light of GOD'S Word, and responded not to HIS Call to shine The Light of The Day Star from the heart; the ripple effect, or the influence of their hearts to change and repent and be saved in following HIS Word, or not following HIS Word to walk in darkness, has caused many to reject The Word, to suffer lost at the hands of generations that followed. As it was in the days of Noah, The LORD said, "all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth". To repent and return to GOD and HIS Word, we must receive The Light of GOD'S Word in our hearts, to live by the principles of The Light and Life in HIS Word. But if we are walking in darkness towards death, and are blinded to our condition, as David was, then we cannot respond to The Truth if no one knows The Truth and can reflect like Nathan The Light of Truth on our path.

When the leaders of the Jews with darken hearts led the people to reject Christ--The Light and Life of GOD to them, Jesus said something important to them just before He talked with His disciples of the signs of His coming. He said, "...I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Matthew 23:39). In other words, the only why for men to receive Christ from the day of His ascension unto the day He shall return again is through those, who are sent in His Name. If His principles are established in the heart, and men receive Him through those, who are sent in His Name, then at His coming in The Father's Glory with the Holy angels, He will receive them, and all, who have receive Him through those, who were sent in His Name. This is the Good News of His gospel to men, but are we wining souls from the enemy for Him?

The Light of Christ shines through His branches, to reveal The Way
for men and women from each generation to come unto HIM by HIS Word.

We all need to have our eyes and ears open to see and hear what GOD is revealing through us and to us of HIS Word that He might bring us to know The Father and Himself more fully. As He was rejected, many, who were sent in His Name, have suffered rejection of HIS Light shining through them. For it was The Spirit of Christ, Who was in the prophets, who enquired and searched diligently of The Grace that would come to us in these last days. They, the prophets were “Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow” (1 Peter 1:11).

Although they searched for meaning of The Light of Christ in them, “…it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:12).

This statement to be Holy was stated not by Peter, but by The Holy One, Who was The Light abiding in him to shine His Light to men by him. Our being Holy and Perfect can only be accomplished by and through Him, and not of ourselves. To try and accomplish being Holy without Him is an impossibility, for He said, "I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love" (John 15:5-10).

Here The LORD by HIS Word has made it clear that if we love Him, as He loves The Father, then we will keep His Commandments, just as He kept His Father's Commandments. What He is saying is this, If He abides in our hearts, and He is keeping His Father's Commandments in us, then we will be keeping them also, if we truly love Him. For without Him we can do nothing. In other words, if He, Who is The Light and Life of man, is not abiding in us, then we are in darkness and death, and are desolate without His Spirit of Life in us. And we are unable to do anything, because doing something requires Life, Which comes only through Him. But there are many like David, who are today being led by the enemy to reject some, or all of The Commandments of GOD, just like the leaders of the Jews, who led the people to reject The Covenant of Light and Life in Christ, to walk in darkness and death. Some say, no one can keep all ten of The Commandments. But this is only a half true statement and is of the deceiver, who seeks to corrupt the hearts of men and lead them to destruction. The true statement is that no man can keep The Commandments of GOD without The Spirit of Christ abiding in the heart. For He was sent of GOD to accomplish HIS Will in and through us to HIS Glory. For Jesus said, "...With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

As we search and examine our hearts to see whether we are in the faith, The LORD by HIS Word will reveal to us how HE has led in the past to bring us unto HIMSELF. HE will also reveal to us how the enemy is working and has worked through men, to cause us to be lost at the coming of Christ, if we remain blind to our condition, and do not repent of our sins. It is for this reason that we have for our learning the history of past generations that Paul has said, "...we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, [even] your perfection. Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction. Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you." (2 Corinthians 13:9-11).

It is by looking at how The LORD has led us by HIS Word in the past that we are guided by The Lamp of HIS Word to our feet, to bring us unto Himself at His coming. But what would be the outcome for David if The LORD had not reveal to him where he had drifted? What would be our condition, if The LORD had not sent The Gift of HIS Son to meet our need? Where would you and I be today if we have not received HIS Word?

In our past, some may have heeded the warnings revealed by The Light of GOD'S Word, to return to The Path of Righteousness. Others may have been blinded by the enemy, to prevent them from seeing the warnings by GOD'S Word, that by their blindness he (the enemy) may cause many to leave The Path of Righteousness, to walk in darkness towards destruction. But if The Light of GOD'S Word has reveal to us HIS Truth, then should we continue on the path of darkness against The Light of GOD'S Word, just to remain in favor with the world? The Word has answered this question for us, and has said, "...what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36). We may gain the favor of men, and side with the world in bowing to the plan of the enemy to lose our own souls. Or like the three Hebrew boys, we could stand up to the enemy in The Power of The Word for The Light of HIS Truth, and be out of favor with the world, but in favor with GOD and HIS Son. And When The Lord comes in the glory of The Father and with the Holy angels; the question will be, Which side would we be on in that final day of The Lord? Remember the words of Jesus to those, who will say in that day, "LORD, Lord". Would He confess to knowing those, who never stood up to reflect The Light of HIS Word?

It was in seeking to shine The Light of HIS Word to our hearts, to return to The LORD and HIS Word in these last days, that The Lord impressed a message upon the heart of Elder Neal C. Wilson--the father of the current President of the General Conference of Seventh-Day Adventist. He was impressed to reveal something important for the church in these last days in the Preface of the book “Movement of Destiny”, which took years in the making, and was written and printed in 1971 by Leroy E. Froom. At the time of his statement, Elder Wilson was The Vice-President of the General Conference for the North American Division, and of the Chairman of the Guiding Committee for the Movement of Destiny. He said,

“Most of us are far removed from the founding of the Advent Movement. We have few links with the pioneers. We are in danger of losing the spirit and drive of those who sacrificed all in order to start an obscure movement in response to the compelling work of the Holy Spirit and their unshakable belief in the fulfillment of divine prophecy. So often through the passage of time the original goals and purposes for this Movement of Destiny become blurred and are nearly lost. Our vision becomes dim. We cannot look back, and we do not seem to be able to look ahead.” (MOD Page 15)

Notice the picture that he was impressed to paint of the leadership of the church at that time who were (1.) far remove from The Founding of The Advent Movement, with few links with the pioneers of the church. Elder Wilson had eyes to see that there was (2.) the danger “of losing the spirit and drive of those, who sacrificed all in order to start an obscure movement in response to the compelling work of the Holy Spirit and their unshakable belief in the fulfillment of divine prophecy”. He was led to confess that (3.) “Through the passage of time the original goals and purposes for this Movement of Destiny become blurred and are nearly lost”. And (4.) We cannot look back, and we do not seem to be able to look ahead.

Let’s envision for a moment this Movement of Destiny, which was established by Spirit filled and Spirit driven founders of the faith, who with their unshakable belief in the fulfillment of divine prophecy, set out with goals and purposes in response to the compelling work of The Holy Spirit, to reach that destiny put within their hearts. If the leaders of the church were to follow that movement in later years, and were to lose that spirit and drive of the founders, because the original goals and purpose of the movement became blurred and dim, would we--the church in the later years be walking to the same destiny, if we could not look back to see how we were being led in the past, and we had no apparent light to see how we were being led ahead? With a denial of The Light that led us in the past, and no Light to lead us ahead to our destiny, this view of our condition reveals us as a people, who are stuck in darkness, not knowing whether we are coming or going to that same destiny of the founders of the faith. If there is no light from GOD to reveal our sins, then we cannot confess our condition to repent from our errors in departing from The Way of GOD and HIS Word. And although we might have a few links with the pioneers, we are in danger of losing all that the founders of the faith have worked to establish in our hearts.

But GOD was not blind to our condition of straying into darkness away from HIM. Elder Wilson had already revealed that the original goals and purposes for the Movement of Destiny had become blurred and nearly lost. But not everyone had lost the original goals and purposes of The Founders of the faith. GOD had revealed The Light to lead us back on The Path of Righteousness. HE gave The Answer to our condition to one, who was filled with The Spirit of HIS Word.

A change in the spirit of the people.
The path that led to darkness, and The Light that leads from darkness.

Could we be in that movement of destiny with the founders of the faith, while holding and allowing the sentiments of darkness to prevail in our hearts? Are we not to overcome by The Light of GOD'S Word abiding in us? Are we allowing His Light to shine as a Witness through us, to light the feet of those, who follow behind, that we might all reach that Heavenly land? Whether we are in this world of darkness, or walking in The Light of HIS Word, we are to draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to us.

Speaking to those, who ignorantly worshiped GOD, The Word testified through Paul, saying, “God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

"Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by [that] man whom he hath ordained; [whereof] he hath given assurance unto all [men], in that he hath raised him from the dead” (Acts 17:24-31).

I pray that you and I will overcome this world of darkness by The Light and Life of GOD’S Word abiding in our hearts, to have the eyes to see and the ears to hear and know The Truth of HIS Will from the errors and snares of the enemy. We cannot be revived with the same spirit and drive of the founders of the faith, if we are not connected to Him, to know from where He came and to where He is leading us. If we are One with The Father through HIS Son, then we will all speak The Same Word of Light and Life, from The Holy One Who gave to the founders The Same utterance to reveal HIS Will. This is why we are to try the spirits to see whether they are of GOD: for there are many false prophets and teachers, who by their own reasoning, mislead the people of GOD from The Path that leads to His destiny of Life. May it be in your heart and my own, to trust in The LORD with all of our hearts, to lean not to our own understanding, but in all of our ways, may we have eyes to see, and ears to hear, and acknowledge His Leading to allow HIM to direct our paths by HIS Word.

John testified and said, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteouseness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us" (1 John 1:9,10). In order for HIS Word to accomplish His Righteousness in us, we need to first confess our sins, that have caused our feet to follow a path that led to darkness away from GOD.
