Should there be a concern for the way we choose
to interpret The Scriptures? And is there a valid reason
for asking this question?

In looking back at this series of studies starting with the introduction, we understand from the presentation of The Word that no one but One in heaven and earth, even under the earth had prevailed to open The Book that was in the hand of HIM, WHO sat upon the throne. It is to Him that we should turn, to receive the things sealed in The Book, because He has prevailed to open to us The Book that was sealed. It is by His Testimony that we understand that without Him, we are unable to comprehend The Things of GOD.

For it is written, "...great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some [seeds] fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

"And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and [their] ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them" (Matthew 13:2-15).

By The Gift of faith, we notice that there is Something, or Someone, Who is planted, or sown in the hearts, or given to those, who have something, which is the ears to hear, that they, who hear might receive That, Which is given of GOD. He, Who is given of GOD will come and bear fruit in all, who will receive Him in their hearts, as The Gift of GOD. For The Gift of GOD is received in the heart by the hearing of The Gift that The Word of GOD, Who is given to all, might bear fruit in all, who would receive Him. But those, who have not the ears to hear, or the heart to receive The Gift of GOD, they by a deaf ear, which they have closed, will turn from receiving That, Which is planted, or sown of GOD in the heart. As a result of not receiving The Gift of GOD in their hearts, they have not His Fruit of Understanding abiding in them. They will therefore fail to perceive and understand the mysteries of the kingdom of GOD. For He, Who has been given of GOD has testified by the mouth of one, who has received The Gift and said, " [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).

It is by planting The Word of GOD as The Gift of GOD in the heart that we might bear His fruit of faith. In order to bear the fruit of faith, one must first receive The Word of GOD, Who testified and said, "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world" (John 6:51).

With The Understanding planted in his heart to bear His fruit, Paul testified of the other disciples and of himself, and said, "...we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:6-14).

It is The Spirit of GOD being received in the hearts of men that gives to us His fruit of Understanding; for without Him abiding in us, the natural man of flesh and blood cannot comprehend The Things of GOD. For He said, "Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice [is] to the sons of man. O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips [shall be] right things. For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness [is] an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth [are] in righteousness; [there is] nothing froward or perverse in them. They [are] all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom [is] better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

"I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel [is] mine, and sound wisdom: I [am] understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, [even] all the judges of the earth. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour [are] with me; [yea], durable riches and righteousness. My fruit [is] better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures" (Proverbs 8:4-21).

With an open ear to hear and a heart to receive The Gift of GOD, the disciples received The Spirit of Understanding when He revealed to them Himself and said, "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock [are they], which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of [this] life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

"But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep [it], and bring forth fruit with patience. No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth [it] under a bed; but setteth [it] on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither [any thing] hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have" (Luke 8:11-18).

It was The Father, Who made HIMSELF known to Peter, James and John on the mount of transfiguration, when HE said to them, "...This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him" (Matthew 17:5). When they saw Him, they did not have more than one option to choose from when The Father revealed to them HIS Only Begotten Son. But many have come since that time proclaiming to be The Christ, or proclaiming to men another Christ. Now if it is important that we take heed to what we hear, then it is also very important that we take heed of how we might interpret The Word of GOD and present to others what they might hear. For it was the misinterpreting of The Word of GOD to Adam and Eve that led to man's falling away from Life to death. For this reason, Jesus made it clear that it is the devil, who comes and takes The Word of Life out of the heart that He, The Truth of GOD might not take root in the heart.

Satan has continued to attack The Truth of GOD in the hearts of men, that those, who allowed not The Gift of GOD to take root in their hearts might accept his errors in place of The Truth. And over time, through the altering of The Truth to fit their own understanding, he might lead the hearts of men into darkness far from The Truth God has revealed. With the acceptance of error planted in their hearts and presented as The Truth of GOD, men, who perceived not The Things of The Spirit of GOD, have presented their views to the hearts of honest men that by them, many in the church in every age might fall away from The Truth through their interpretation and wisdom against The Truth. And to make sure and to keep the hearts of men from finding and receiving The Truth of GOD, Satan has worked and is working through the wisdom of men, to go forth as ministers that he by them might plant his spirit of error in the hearts of men, who perceive not with the heart The Truth GOD has revealed to men. But the honest and good in heart that will hear and receive The Truth of GOD, Who is un-altered by man, he, or she will receive from GOD The True Spirit of GOD in the heart, Whom HE has revealed.

With The Spirit of Understanding in their hearts, the disciples testified to us of The Truth, saying, "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

"Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work" (2 Thessalonians 2:1-17).

Notice that GOD has chosen us all to be saved through the Sanctification of The Spirit and our belief in The Truth, but it is the enemy of GOD and man that has sought to prevent man from being sanctified of The Spirit through The Truth. If we do not have ears to hear The Word of Truth, Who is given of GOD to take root in our hearts, then we are open to the wisdom and errors of men, which if it is rooted in our hearts as The Truth, it would be hard to be rooted out, accept we confirm and test the messenger and what we hear and read by The Word of GOD. For The Word given to us of GOD is to "Hear ye Him" that we might receive and bear His Fruit of Understanding and Wisdom in our hearts. The question then is this, "If Lucifer had brought forth from his heart The Good Fruit of God to Adam and Eve, would we be here in this condition today?" what is the Fruit that we present and sow in the hearts of others today? Is it given of God, or of men?
