Are we receiving the Truth from those who stand
as leaders in the church and the vineyard of God?

The Word said, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

"And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it" (Matthew 7:21-27).

The Father made it clear that we are made clean through the Word HE has spoken unto us. And if we have received the Father's Word in us, then we know that we have received HIS Word-the Power and the Way by Whom we can accomplish HIS Will. However, according to the Word, many within the church who hear the Word of God speaking to their hearts will fail to bear the Fruit of God in doing HIS Will, because they have chosen to become foolish in building their faith on the wisdom of men and not in HIS Word, Who makes them wise.

Standing firm in his faith in the Word of God and bearing the Fruit of the Word, Paul testified and said, "...Seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them" (2 Corinthians 4:1-4).

The church is like a bus, with the leader or pastor sitting
at the controls to keep and steer that church on the path of Truth.

trust and faith in their pastor than in The Word of God.

To prevent man from manifesting the Light of Truth to every man's conscience in the sight of God, Satan, the god of this world tries to keep men from receiving the Light of Truth in their hearts that they might not reflect the Light of Truth to those who would come to Christ. In fact, he tries to keep the minds of men numb or occupied with the things of this world that they might have no desire for the things of God. And there are many who are mishandling the Word of Truth through their neglect to manifest the Truth to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

In other words, they are not allowing the Light of God to shine in and through them, because they depend more on their own wisdom than on the Spirit of God, Who will guide them into all Truth. They deny Him the ability to abide in them that they might glorify the Father, which is in heaven. And everything that they have done and will do in His name is done without Him. Therefore, it is for this reason that the Word will declare that He never knew them.

Speaking to the scribes and Pharisees, the Word said, "[Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and [some] of them ye shall kill and crucify; and [some] of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute [them] from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

"Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [thou] that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under [her] wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Matthew 23:33-39).

The Father made this teaching clear by HIS Word, through HIS servant Isaiah, who said, "Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and [let] him [be] your fear, and [let] him [be] your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

"And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me [are] for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them" (Isaiah 8:13-20).

Is the Father speaking here by HIS Word through His Servant only of the houses of Israel? Is HE not speaking also of men, who disregard the testimony and the law that should be bound up among HIS people? Are they not denying the Power of God to work through them to gather His people under His hedge of protection?

The Word said, "Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed [are they that] keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed [is] the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death" (Proverbs 8:32-36).

Yet, there are so many that are sincere in their beliefs, and are not aware that they are walking in darkness away from the Truth, because they are willing to accept the teachings of men over the Word of God. As it is written in Scripture, "...Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jews and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:11-17).

Who has believed our report?

It is through the fellowship of the Word with His servant that the Word is able to give the report of the Gospel to the hearts of men that all might come to know the Word of Truth. However, too many of our leaders in our churches are indoctrinated with the teachings of men and are not testing the thing that are heard by the Word of Truth. They rely more on their own understanding than relying on the Spirit of Truth, Who was sent to abide with them and to be their Judgment and Understanding in all things.

As Paul testified and said, "...We preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake." It was in this same manner that the Father through fellowship in HIS Word revealed HIMSELF to HIS disciples. Yet Philip, not realizing that the Father was revealing HIMSELF to them through HIS Word, said, "Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us." And the Father testified by HIS Word and said to His servant Philip, "...Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?"

To make sure that Philip received the revelation of the Father in his heart, the Word then testified and said, "...He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it]" (John 14:8-14).

How could He do whatever we ask the Father in His Name, if we do not believe by faith that He is the One by Whom the Father does HIS will, that in Him, the Father might be glorified? If we believe not the works that He did in His Father's NAME, how then do we expect Him to do through us the greater works of the Father that HE might be glorified? It was the Father, WHO made it clear to Philip through HIS Word that HE was with them in Christ and was soon to be in them by HIS Word. Yet, without the Gift of faith, it is difficult for a person to discern the Truth of the Father in HIS Word. And because of this darkness in seeing the Truth, many have jumped to conclusions in identifying the other Comforter. In other words the church today is failing to receive the report given to us by the Father in HIS Word through His servants.

Speaking of the parables of the kingdom of heaven, the Word said unto His disciples, "...Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe [which is] instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man [that is] an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure [things] new and old. And it came to pass, [that] when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this [man] this wisdom, and [these] mighty works?

"Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this [man] all these things? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief" (Matthew 13:51-58).

Yet, through His servant John, the Word testified of Himself and of the Father and said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you [of] heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven.

"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (John 3:11-18).

After upbraiding or reproving His disciples with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not the report given to them by those who had seen him after His resurrection, "...he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (Mark 16:9-20)

Has the Word of God or the Witness of God been received in your heart that He might confirm in you what is Truth? Are your eyes open to see the eternal things of heaven? Do we believe the report given to us by HIS servants? Or do we continue to reject the Word of Truth?
