Third Law

"Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain" (Exodus 20:7).

John testified of the Word of God and said, "...As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (John 1:12,13).

To HIS servant Moses, the Word of the LORD reveal HIS NAME, WHICH is the SAME as HIS glory. "And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth [generation]. And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped" (Exodus 34:5-8).

By receiving the NAME of the LORD through HIS Word, we become children of God. And to HIS servant Moses, the Father said by HIS Word, "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

"And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require [it] of him. But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die" (Deuteronomy 18:18-20).

After receiving the Word of God, Paul made it clear in his letter to the church and said by the Word, "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment" (1 Corinthians 1:10).

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?

"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth. Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us" (Romans 8:26-34).

When we take the Name of the LORD our God to become the children of God, by HIS Spirit in us, we shall live by HIS Spirit, Who interceeds for us. And the Word in us will manifest HIS Fruit of "Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another" (Galatians 5:22-26).

If we believe in the NAME of the Father and HIS Son Jesus Christ, then in HIS Name and by HIS Power in us, we will choose to keep HIS Link of Love to not take HIS Name in vain, but that through us, HIS Spirit will manifest Himself in us as the Father's Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Meekness and Temperance, that by His church, who are called Christians in the work of reconciliation, the world in darkness to the Truth might witness the glory of the Father's NAME.

However, if we call ourselves Christians and incorrectly reflect the Father's NAME in this world of darkness, we are saying to the LORD, that HE has not revealed HIS NAME to the church through HIS Word. And because we choose to be free from keeping HIS Link of Love in our hearts, we take HIS Name in vain by presenting to the world the darkness of Satan as the light of God.
