Introduction to this Study

There are many in this world, who do not attend a synagogue, a church, a mosque, or a temple, yet the majority of people in this world, attend in one form or another, a place where members of the same faith can come together to conduct some form of worship. Some might gather together on the first day, the sixth day, or even the seventh day of the week to conduct their services of worship. And there are those, who believe that any day of the week is ok to conduct their services. Because these groups are religious in one form or another, many, if not all will conclude that they are able to understand what is meant by the phrase "True Worship".

However, since the completion of the "Test of Faith" on this Website in April of 2002, many have tried to take the test without first comprehending the previous studies presented on this site. As a result, they have failed to pass the test, which would enable them to proceed to the next important study. In the same way, many who seek to enter into an understanding of the deep and spiritual things of God, will do so without first prayerfully comprehending the teachings of HIS Word, that they might grow in Grace through Faith in HIS Truth, and therefore receive the breadth, and length, and depth, and height of the Knowledge of HIS Word. For not all are adults in the Word; some are like babies in the faith, which rely on their own ability to feed themselves, but in the end, they make a mess of things.

During the early part of His ministry in sharing the gospel, Jesus testified to His disciples and said, "I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him" (John 8:26). Just before He had returned to the Father, He said again unto them, "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you" (John 16:12-14).

Paul a servant of the Word said, "...The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:14).

To those, who were not ready to comprehend the things of God, Paul said, "...I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, [even] as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas [there is] among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?" (1 Corinthians 3:1-3)

He also said, "...The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry" (2 Timothy 4:3-5). "...Whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin" (Romans 14:23).

Like Nicodemus, the Word would say to those, who have been studying the Scriptures for years and feeding the flock with their understanding, "...Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you [of] heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven" (John 3: 10-13). "...When the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8).

If a person is not ready to receive the deep things of God, it's possible that he or she might reject the things of God, because he or she have not grown fully in the Word to discern the heavenly things from the earthly things. And because of this blindness to the Truth of God, he or she will continue to choose his or her own church doctrine or personal views over the Word of God. To those, who would do this, the Word said, "...Whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink [this] cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of [that] bread, and drink of [that] cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many [are] weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world" (1 Corinthians 11:27-32).

Notice that today the world is full of envy and strife. Even the church of God in this world has many divisions. And if we regard the things of the Spirit as foolishness, then we will not be able to receive the things that are freely given to us of God. For we have already seen the results of those seventy disciples, who turned and walk no more with our Lord. If your heart is ready to receive this study, click on "Proceed to the Study" below. However, if you think you understand the spiritual things of God, and yet comprehend them not, you might want to study the "Light of Faith" to see if you understand the spiritual concepts of faith that you might proceed with this study.

If you have understood the studies presented thus far, then by entering into this study on "True Worship", the AWESOME things of God presented by HIS Word will be understood more clearly. But if there is difficulty in comprehending these things, Help is available to find the Way, through the Spirit in the study of HIS Word.
