"GOD'S wrath part 2",   "GOD'S Message of Warning",   "To Whom do we seek for Salvation?"

In part (1) of the study on the wrath of GOD, it was stated that the study on the wrath of GOD would be understood more clearly once the gospel of God was understood. For it is not easy to explain without first revealing The Grace of GOD to men. It was revealed in the writings of John, who said, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God" (John 3:16-21).

This passage of Scripture is not only the heart of the gospel, which is good news to man, but it is also the foundation of the wrath of GOD, which is what we should choose to avoid.

But how do we avoid the wrath of GOD
that we might be saved, and have everlasting life?

First of all we need to study carefully this passage of Scripture, to receive The Understanding of The LORD by HIS Word that we might not receive the wrath of GOD. In studying the first part of John 3:16-21, we find that it was GOD The Father, WHO so loved the world, or every man, woman, boy and girl that HE gave HIS Only begotten Son. The question that we need to answer, to gain understanding is this, "What does it mean that HE gave HIS Only begotten Son? And to whom did HE gave HIS Only begotten Son?

The answer is revealed of GOD through HIS Word, saying, "...Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them" (Genesis 1:26,27). "And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul" (Genesis 2:7).

The Life in man and all living creatures on the earth did not just come into being from some space dust that developed over millions of years of evolution. No, if that were the case, then it would mean that those, who depend on evolution to control their destiny, would not see anything wrong with so many animals dying off on such a large-scale around the world. If it is the evolutionary process at work, then it would be just the natural progression of things, and man could be next in line to receive the same fate. However, The Scripture verse says, "whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." To those, who believe in The Word of GOD, we know that it was The Father WHO worked through and with HIS Son to create all things, and to make man in His Own Image.

For it was of The Father that The Word testified and said, "...I was by him, [as] one brought up [with him]: and I was daily [his] delight, rejoicing always before him; Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights [were] with the sons of men. Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed [are they that] keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed [is] the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death" (Proverbs 8:30-36).

From one who heard HIM Speak, and received HIS Instructions in his heart, and did not refuse HIS Word, John open the door of his heart, and testified to us of Him, saying, "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth" (John 1:10-14).

John also heard Him say that we must, "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed" (John 6:27). For He said, "...This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent" (John 6:29). And having received from his labor, The Meat through the doors of the disciples of Christ, Paul open the door of his heart and shared The Meat of The Word to the church of the Galatians, saying, "Grace [be] to you and peace from God the Father, and [from] our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen" (Galatians 1:3-5).

The Father gave Him, and
He gave Himself to fill our every need.

John testified that The Father gave HIS only begotten Son, that if we would believe in Him, we would not perish, but would have Everlasting life. For it is better to be like Martha and believe in Him and see The Glory of GOD, than to be like Thomas to see first and then come to believe after His Glory has come and gone.

When GOD by HIS Word made man in His Own Image, HIS Word was HIS Covenant Gift of Life to man, to meet all our needs. For Jesus spoke to the people, who came looking for only physical bread from Him, and He said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world" (John 6:32,33).

It was Christ, Who gave life and breath to all the living creatures on the earth, in the land, in the air and in the sea. It was He, Who breathed into the nostrils of man and gave to him Life from His Own Life. For He said, "...as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself" (John 5:26). For He also said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever" (John 6:53-58).

It was Christ in Whom man was instructed to place his trust, to feed of Him, Who is from above. For John said, "He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him]. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:31-36).

John testified of Him and said, "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men" (John 1:3,4). And because He is The Light and Life of man, no man, or any created thing living on this earth could live apart from His Life giving Power. It was for this reason that He instructed Adam with a command, saying, "...Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die" (Genesis 2:16,17).

Why were we instructed to hearken, or to "listen to Him?" Because we are blessed if we keep His ways. We are blessed if we hear His instructions given to us. We are wise if we do not refuse them. We are blessed if we hear Him and watch daily at His gates, waiting at the posts of His doors. Why are we blessed? Because, whosoever finds Him, he or she by his/her faith has found Life, and has obtained The Favou of The LORD. However, if that man or woman has sinned against Him, and has not repented of the sin; he/she has committed an injustice to his, or her own soul. And without repentance, or a turning away from the sin that is drawing and separating the sinner from The Gift of Life, that man, or woman would receive the wrath of GOD, because of the sin, which has separated him, or her from The Gift of Life.

To keep both Adam and Eve from maintaining their obedience to GOD and HIS Word of Life, it was the great dragon, that old serpent, and enemy of GOD and man, who worked to accomplish his task of destroying from the heart of man, The Living Covenant of Life between God and man. It is written that, "...the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

"And when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they [were] naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where [art] thou?" (Genesis 3:1-9)

Notice that it was the enemy's plan of deception, to cause Eve to be deceived that she might influence her husband, who was not deceived, to take also of his fruit of lies, which opened their eyes to The Truth of Who it was they had lost in their Sanctified Connection between GOD and man. For He is The Connection that Sanctifies their connection of Life with GOD, which is what the marriage between a man and a woman represents. And if the enemy has deceived man into joining with him, to break GOD'S Law of Life, then this is what adultery represents, to make a covenant with darkness and death. In that day when the enemy deceived Adam and Eve into rejecting The Living Covenant of Life in GOD, Who filled their every need, and to change and join connection with him, the process of death began to do its work on every living thing over which GOD gave man dominion.

There are many today who are still eating the fruit of the enemy's deadly deception. When things begin to go wrong, they put their trust and faith in the philosophy of men, who are deceived by him, to teach men to put their trust and faith in the process of evolution, which means that they have no one to turn too but themselves, and the works of their own hands. When their eyes are open to The Truth, they will find that they have sinned against GOD and HIS Word, Who gave them HIS Gift of Life, and they have wronged their own souls. But The Promise of GOD still stands sure today, for those, who will hear HIS Voice, and acknowledge their sin, to respond and repent of their wicked ways before it is to late.

Adam and Eve hid themselves from The Presence of The LORD, Who came to them, because they had rejected HIS Everlasting Covenant of Life HE gave to them, in the giving of The Gift of HIS Son. They were deceived into trading The Gift of Life for the empty gift of darkness and death. But GOD was not caught of guard when man sinned and separated from Life. GOD knew what would happen, and instructed and gave warning to them by HIS Word before hand that the enemy might not deceived them. And because they were deceived into rejecting The Gift of Life, The Word of Life committed to sacrifice His Own Life, to extend by His Grace, His Life in man. This means that the immediate result of rejecting The Covenant of Life was delayed, to give man an extended time to choose, whom he would serve, or to reveal the image of Who it was that would work through him in doing, or not doing The Will of GOD.

Because of what the enemy had done in man's fellowship with GOD, it was written for our learning that "...the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art] cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

"And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return" (Genesis 3:14-19).

Notice that GOD established that HE would put enmity, or hostility between the enemy and the woman, or between those, who would follow after the enemy and his ways, and those, who would follow after GOD and HIS Way. And from that day, the enemy has been working to tear down the hostility between his form of worship, and GOD'S form of worship. By mixing his ways, and his teachings with the words of God, the enemy hoped to deceive the whole world from receiving The Truth that is found only by faith in GOD'S Holy Word and HIS Way of worship. Why would he do this? John was given a vision, and he wrote saying, "...I saw three unclean spirits like frogs [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty” (Revelation 16:13,14).

The enemy has been working through the seed of men to deceive all men to The Way of GOD, WHO works all things by HIS Word. But GOD, Who made man for His Glory, worked also by HIS Word in and through those, who would obey and remain faithful to HIS Holy Living Word, rather than trusting in the interpretations and philosophies of man's wisdom. For it is written, "...in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

"And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where [is] Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: [Am] I my brother's keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now [art] thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth" (Genesis 4:3-12).

Notice that Abel's offering of the first born of his flock, or of the increase of his possession, revealed that he understood The Sacrifice of The Grace that was given to extend The Gift of Life, Who was extend to him. But Cain did not comprehend This Spiritual Connection that was given to them. The Word of The LORD revealed that Abel knew of Cain's spiritual condition, and how the sin of death was at the door of his heart. And with desire in his heart for his brother to be saved, Abel offered to The LORD a sacrifice of a lamb from his own increase for the life of his brother to live. Abel knew that it was not the death of the lamb that gave to them life, but that it was The Sacrifice that was given to Extend His Life to them and in them. However, because Abel's sacrifice was appreciated by The LORD, and Cain's offering from his abundance was not, Cain's countenance had fallen, because his offering in the sight of The LORD was not appreciated. He then grew angry and killed his brother Abel in the field, because of the way he chose to worship his god.

In giving the sacrifice from his own possession to save his brother from death, Abel revealed from his own heart, Who it was that was doing the acceptable work in and through him, to do The Father's Will. And by killing his brother Abel, who desired to save him from the door of sin and death, Cain revealed from his heart the spirit of the enemy, who worked through and in him to do his will, to destroy The Living Covenant of Life in the heart of his brother Abel. As a result of doing what he did and being cursed from the earth by The LORD, Cain said to The LORD, ...My punishment [is] greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, [that] every one that findeth me shall slay me. And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden" (Genesis 4:13-16).

Notice that GOD'S wrath was poured out on Cain, to be cast out of his own dwelling place, or his own abode and to be hid from The Face and the presence of The LORD, because of the sin he had done. He was a marked man in the same way that the forbidden tree was marked, which was the symbol of the enemy, who deceived both men and angels by the fruit of his deceptive lies. Cain was marked in a way that if anyone should find him, that person should not do the same evil work that he was led to do. Notice also that GOD had not destroyed Cain immediately, but postponed HIS strange work of wrath on all, who would not repent of their unrighteous ways.

From Cain's own descendants, who followed after his ways, there was one, whose name was Lamech, he "...said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold. And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, [said she], hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD" (Genesis 4:23-26).

Up to this point we have seen The Grace of GOD at work in extending Life to those, who were being deceived of their own condition, and continue to reject The Gift of GOD'S Covenant of Life in their own hearts, and to work by the enemy of Life, to break The Living Covenant of Life in their own dwellings, and to take the lives of those, who from the heart sought only to work by The Word of GOD to do HIS Will. With the descendants of Cain separated from the descendants of Seth, those who called upon The Name of The LORD were called the sons of God, because of The Light of Life, Who inhabited their dwelling. But those, whose faces were hidden from God, because of Cain's sin, they were called the sons of men because they were the descendants of Cain, who was marked because he killed his only brother.

To those, who kept The Word of Life among the sons of GOD, it was revealed that "...it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown.

"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God. And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth" (Genesis 6:1-13).

When The Light of Life came into the world, to reveal The Father's Grace and Truth to and through men, John testified of Him said, "In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe. He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light. [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not" (John 1:4-10).

When Jesus The Light of Life of men left the Jewish synagogue, Which is the symbol of His dwelling place in the hearts of men, He said to those, who rejected Him, saying, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen [doth gather] her brood under [her] wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until [the time] come when ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Luke 13:34,35).

The Scriptures reveal the words of John, who testified of Him, saying, "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen" (Revelation 1:7). This Verse is true. Every eye will see Him. From the first generation of Adam and Eve to the last generation of man on this earth. The question is this, will we be among those, who will rise to meet Him in the air at His second Coming, or at His third coming, which would the first for all those, who rejected Him? Like many of the Jews, there are many in this world, who are still looking for His first coming, because they did not receive and believe on Him through those, whom He has sent in His Name.

As The Spirit of GOD, Who is The Everlasting Covenant of Light and Life of man slowly withdraws from this world by the rejection of men, Will we have His Power in us at that time to repent of our sins, before His Door of Mercy is closed? As we look at the birds of the air, the beast of the field and the fish of the sea that died by the thousands, and even millions, the one thing they all have in common is this; they all needed and depended on The Giver of Life to breathe and to do His will in and through them. Without the Laminin of GOD'S Word in us, we cannot be joined together as One in Him to do His Will. And if His Spirit of Life is not welcome in us, then men are left desolate, our without HIS Gift of Life in them.

As John said, "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God" (John 3:18-21).

And as Jesus said, "...whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death" (Proverbs 8:35,36). If we reject Him, to believe and eat the fruit of someone, whom The Father has not sent with HIS Word, then we are condemned already. However, if we believe in Him, and received what He has revealed to us of The Father, WHO sent Him, then we are not condemned, because we have received The Gift of GOD, Who is Eternal Life.

To avoid the wrath of GOD
we must repent of our sins, and choose
GOD'S Gift of Light and Life in HIS Son
Jesus Christ our Lord.

To find HIM and to believe in Him, Whom HE has sent, we must hear and receive HIS Word, and take heed to HIS message of warning by HIS Word.
