And what is It That Satan does not
want men to Understand?

In the opening of this series of studies, or the packaging of This Gift of GOD, we were presented with the testimony of John, who wrote and said, "...I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon" (Revelation 5:1-4).

From the picture of darkness, or the lack of understanding that was presented by this saying; no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth was found worthy to open, and to loose the things seals in The Book. And with a strong angel, proclaiming with a loud voice upon the hearts to find one worthy to open The Seals of That Book, John wept, because no man in heaven, in earth, neither under the earth was found worthy to open The Book. The picture presented by these sayings, reveals a picture similar to the one painted by the sayings presented in Genesis, where upon opening The Book, one is confronted with the condition of darkness just before this earth was created. For it is written, "...the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light" (Genesis 1:2,3).

The command by GOD, or The Will of GOD to "Let there be Light", was not a command to create light. No, for HE The Father and HIS Word is Light. HIS command was given to put an end to the lack of understanding, or the darkness that was already there upon the face of the deep. Although man was not yet created when this command was given, man came into the picture not to be in darkness, but to be a reflector of The Light of GOD. For The Word said, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain" (John 15:16). It was to prevent man from coming under the spell of darkness that GOD by HIS Word said to man, "...of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die" (Genesis 2:17).

Like an eclipse of the sun, by the moon on a clear day, with a cloud of darkness gathering to cover the sky, Satan sought to prevent The Light of GOD from being Witnessed through man, by deceiving man into receiving his fruit. He has established his kingdom right here on the earth, using men and women, who were created for a divine purpose. The picture painted by the command of GOD to Let The Light shine, helps us to understand the testimony of Isaiah, who said, "...the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which [men] deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned" (Isaiah 29:11,12).

Although it is the desire of GOD to Let there be Light in our hearts and minds, we cannot understand and reflect in our witness The Truth, Which is sealed from our understanding, if we do not open, read and receive HIS Word. We cannot bear The Fruit of HIS Witness from our hearts, if we never come to The Light HE has delivered into our hands? Jesus said to His disciples, "Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men. But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not..." (Luke 9:44,45)

John painted the picture of our darkness without Christ, and said, "He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him]. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand."

Testifying on The Things sealed in The Book, Isaiah said, "Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not" (Isaiah 53:1-3).

Jesus said it this way, saying, "...Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

"This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard [this], said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? [What] and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father" (John 6:53-65). No man can come unto to Christ, or receive Him, except The Father delivers HIS Word into the hearts of men, that HE might quicken, or give The Gift of Life to men, through whom by HIS Word, HE draws all men to receive The Gift of HIS Son.

Through Paul, a man of flesh, came The Anointed Spirit from above, and said, " is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit. Howbeit that [was] not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man [is] of the earth, earthy: the second man [is] the Lord from heaven. As [is] the earthy, such [are] they also that are earthy: and as [is] the heavenly, such [are] they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly." (1 Corinthians 15:45-49).

It was in the image of the earthly, while expressing and reflecting The IMAGE of THE Heavenly Father, that Jesus said, "...Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth [them]; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all [men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him" (John 5:19-23).

Jesus honored The Father by doing The Will of The Father. Do we honor The Father by giving honor to HIS Son, Whom HE has sent to do HIS Will through us? To those, who are made partakers of The Word, Jesus said, "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you" (Matthew 10:16-19).

Jesus made it clear to the church, what He means by The Spirit of The Father, Who speak through those, who are sent in His Name. He said, "He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me" (Luke 10:16). Through Paul, The Saying was revealed by The Word of GOD, saying, "Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and [in] all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, [that ye may be] blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God [is] faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord" (1 Corinthians 1:3-9).

For it is The Spirit that quickens, or gives Life to all, who come into the world. The flesh of men profits nothing. Without HIM, WHO bears The Fruit of Life through us, we can do nothing. For The Word of GOD is The Gift of Light and Life by Whom The Father has made all things. From The Father, He has delivered and has confirmed to us HIS Word, that through us HIS Light is given to shine into this darken world, by those, who become partakers of The Word. It was through Moses that the report was given, to "Let there be Light". The Word is The Spirit and life of GOD in the flesh of men. Through the flesh of His servant Solomon, The Word of GOD said, "A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; [and] with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof" (Proverbs 18:20,21).

Through John, The Word said it this way, saying, "He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:11-13).

In these sayings, The Father has revealed and delivered to men The Gift of HIS Son, but because men cannot understand HIS Word, many have concluded that HIS Word is hard to be received, or to be opened to their hearts, because it is sealed to their understanding. Yet The Word comes to us in and through the package of His servants of flesh, who honored The Father, by receiving HIS Word that HE might speak through men by HIS Word to those, who are in darkness and death. However, we cannot live by Him, except we also receive and eat The Word of GOD that He might dwell and live in us and we in Him. Unless The Word of GOD abides in us, The Things that GOD has revealed to us by HIS Word would be hard to open to our understanding, and The Word, Who is delivered into our hands, as The Gift of GOD to men, will then remained sealed from taking Root in our hearts.

It is therefore the will of the enemy that men remain in darkness to The Truth, that through the lack of understanding of Wisdom, men in darkness to The Truth, might reject The Gift of Life, to change and fit The Word of GOD to the wisdom of men. To this, The Word by the mouth of Solomon said, "A wholesome tongue [is] a tree of life: but perverseness therein [is] a breach in the spirit" (Proverbs 15:4). May it be the desire of our hearts to handle The Word to give The Gift of GOD to those in darkness, that HE by HIS Word might quicken the hearts of men to Life, to help shine HIS Light to a darken world. Amen
