WHO is GOD? Is The Question.
(Updated Version)

With this question being raised by many throughout the history, or of His-story, where individuals have said, “Who is GOD that I must obey HIS Voice, or do HIS Will? We in this generation of time know all to well what it means when someone makes a reference to the phrase “Identity Thief”, where the identity of someone is stolen. The definition, as given by “Wikipedia states that, “Identity theft is a form of stealing someone's identity in which someone pretends to be someone else by assuming that person's identity, usually as a method to gain access to resources or obtain credit and other benefits in that person's name.[1][2] The victim of identity theft (here meaning the person whose identity has been assumed by the identity thief) can suffer adverse consequences if they are held responsible for the perpetrator's actions.” ( “http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Identity_theft” )

This is an important statement, to help understand why Christ Jesus took upon Himself the sins of the whole world. Because since it was by Him that all things were created and were made, yet, He was The Victim of Identity Theft. For it is written of Him through Isaiah, who said of Him, “Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him.

“He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither [was any] deceit in his mouth.

“Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put [him] to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors” (Isaiah 53:1-12).

Notice the question that Isaiah raised in his report. Isaiah said, “Who hath believed our report? and, to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?” Notice the focus of his question. Did Isaiah say, to whom is the LORD revealed? No. Isaiah is focusing his question on someone, to whom the arm of the LORD has been revealed, which means that there is someone, who has seen the arm of the LORD.

Notice what Matthew said in his report of Jesus, Who spoke of those, who have ears to hear. Jesus said, “All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and [he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him]. Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:27-30).

So according to the question that Isaiah raised in his report, the arm of the LORD has revealed the LORD to [he] whomsoever the Son will reveal [him]. This means that the Father knows the Son, and neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and to [he] whomsoever the Son will reveal [him]. Is there a reason why no man but [he] whomsoever the Son will reveal the LORD, to know the Son, Who came to reveal the LORD?

According to Paul’s report, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” Hebrews 1:1-3).

Through Isaiah’s report of The Son of the LORD, he said, “…he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him” (Isaiah 53:2). The reason that The Son of GOD “…hath no form nor comeliness;” is revealed in John’s report, which says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me” (John 1:1-5, 14, 15).

Of Matthew’s report, he said, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18). Through John’s report, Jesus said, “The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand” (John 3:35).

“For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth [them]; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all [men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation” (John 5:21-29). “Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;” (John 13:3) As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him” (John 17:2).

Through Paul’s report, he said, “For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under [him, it is] manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him” (1 Corinthians 15:25-27). “Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all [things] under his feet, and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all” (Ephesians 1:20-23).

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10, 11).

“Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing [that is] not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings” (Hebrews 2:8-10).

Peter spoke of Him, “Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him” (1 Peter 3:22). And Luke, who testified of Him, Who said, “All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and [he] to whom the Son will reveal [him]” (Luke 10:22). John also testified of Him, Who said, “As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep” (John 10:15).

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him]” (John 1:18). “Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father” (John 6:46). “As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep” (John 10:15).

To the sheep, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?” (John 14:6-9).

In His prayer to the Father, Jesus said, “As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” “I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.” (John 17:2, 3, 6) “O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare [it]: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them” (John 17:25, 26).

Again through John’s testimony, he says of Him, “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also]” (1 John 2:23). “[And] we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life” (1 John 5:19, 20). “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son” (2 John 1:9).

In touching on another characteristic of Identity Thief, The U.S. Justice department’s website makes a note that, “Unlike your fingerprints, which are unique to you and cannot be given to someone else for their use, your personal data especially your Social Security number, your bank account or credit card number, your telephone calling card number, and other valuable identifying data can be used, if they fall into the wrong hands, to personally profit at your expense.” ( http://www.justice.gov/criminal/fraud/websites/idtheft.html )

With this understanding of the sin problem of stealing another person’s Identity, for personal gain, we do see the effects that sin brings upon The HEART of GOD and those, whom HE loves. When people do not know GOD, and blame HIM for the cause of the things that brings suffering upon us, they tend to turn their backs on GOD, to go their own ways, and separate from HIM, WHO sustains us by The Power of HIS Word, by Whom HE created all things. Yet GOD sent Him--HIS Word to this world of sin darkness and death to reveal The Truth of HIS Glory in the hearts of all, who will receive Him that we might get to know HIM—The Father, WHO sent Him, to lead us to return unto HIM. As it is revealed in the definition of an Identity Thief, it states that, “The victim of identity theft (here meaning the person whose identity has been assumed by the identity thief) can suffer adverse consequences if they are held responsible for the perpetrator's actions.”

Notice The Truth of what this definition is saying, when we apply The VICTIM, as being GOD and HIS Son--The Word of GOD. If GOD’S Identity has been assumed by an identity theft, and that theft has suppress the evidence that could prove the identity theft to be a liar, what would you do, if you were the victim of an identity thief? What would you do, if no one could receive to believe the report of your testimony through those, whom The Word of Truth has been sent to Testify of you, as He was sent to Testify of His Father--The LORD? What would you do, if even your testimony, the thief has sought to destort, and seek to cause all to believe a false testimony? These are things that have been done to destroy and distort The Truth of GOD’S Word.

The biggest problem for stealing a Person’s Identity is when the mind of a man, or woman is held in darkness of not understanding The Word of Truth, Who was sent to reveal GOD--The Father to his, or her understanding of HIM. So, if The Word of GOD has been sent to reveal The Father to men, and even of angels, and He--The Word of GOD is not understood, even by those, who hear The Voice of HIS Word, then He is not received clearly in their understanding, to clearly reveal The Father, WHO sent Him. Notice what John said in his testimony of The Word of GOD, Who was sent to reveal HIM. John said of The Son of GOD, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” (John 1:4, 5).

Paul said, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1:19, 20).

Notice what Paul says of the invisible things of Him”--The Word of GOD, Who is clearly seen, to be understood, and are being understood. How is The Word of GOD being understood? According to Paul’s understanding, He--The Word of GOD is understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that all, who behold the things of him, they are without excuse. Why? Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever” (Romans 1:21-25).

When GOD’S Word in a Book called upon Moses to put in writing The Things of GOD, he began the record of his report on The Book of Genesis. And in the first few lines of texts of the writings of his report, he stated that, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness” (Genesis 1:4).

Notice again what John said of The Son of GOD. John testified and said, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” (John 1:4, 5). So then, if The Word of GOD is The Life and The Light of men, then what would the creation of man have, if man, or His creation did not have Him--The Word of GOD abiding in him, or them? The answer would be darkness and death. Why? Because He--The Word of GOD is The Life and The Light of men.

As Paul testified in his report, he said of The Son of GOD, Who is The Word GOD, that, “…by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence. For it pleased [the Father] that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven” (Colossians 1:16-20).

So with darkness upon the face of the deep, and the word “deep” is here being used to include all things created, that are in heaven, and He--The Son of GOD moved to shine The LIGHT of The Father through Him upon the face of the waters, they could not comprehended His revealing of The Father to their understanding. Why could they not understand His revealing of The Father? Paul said of GOD that HE, “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power…” (Hebrews 1:2, 3) Notice the answer to our question on why they could not comprehend the revealing of The Father through HIS Son, Who is The Word of GOD. As it was revealed through Paul, The Son of GOD is The Brightness of The Father’s GLORY and The Express Image of HIS PERSON.

But notice again what Isaiah said of Him, Who is The Arm of The LORD. Isaiah said, “..he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him” (Isaiah 53:2). Why is it that He has no form nor comeliness, and when we do see Him, He appears to have no beauty that we should desire Him? Isaiah said, He--The Word of GOD hath no form nor comeliness, because He is Invisible. Yet, Isaiah said, when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. Why? Because He is The Word of GOD, Who is revealed to us, as read His Words in a Book.

To confirm what The Word has revealed of Himself and of The Father, He testified by, David, who received Him in him, and The Word testified by David and said, “…I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book [it is] written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law [is] within my heart. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation. Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me” (Psalms 40:7-11).

According to The Testimony of The Word of GOD by David, The Son of GOD made it known that He delights to do The Father’s Will. Why? Because The Father’s Law is within His Heart. He has preached Righteousness in the great congregation. He has not refrained His lips--the witnesses of those, who received Him. He says, “O LORD, thou knowest.” He did not hide, or hinder HIS Righteousness from being revealed from within our hearts. He makes His Testimony clear by saying, “I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation:” He makes His Testimony even more clear. He says, “I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.” And to The Father He says, “Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me”.

To confirm that The Word of GOD was speaking through His servant David, Samuel, who testified of David, who was a covering of flesh for The Word of GOD, Who came unto him, Samuel said of David, saying, “Now these [be] the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man [who was] raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said, The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word [was] in my tongue. The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men [must be] just, ruling in the fear of God” (2 Samuel 23:1-3).

Another confirmation of The Son of GOD, Who comes in The Volume of The Book, is made known to us by John, in his report of Him, Whom he saw. John said of Him, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand” (Revelation 1:1-3).

In testifying of Whom he saw, Who came to him, John gave his witness and testimony of Him, and said, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:1-5).

Notice that John testified that they not only saw and heard The Word of life, Who was manifested unto them, but have handled with their hands The Word of life, to bear witness, and show unto us that Eternal Life, Which was with The Father, and was manifested unto them, that we also may have fellowship with them. And truly their fellowship is with The Father, and with HIS Son Jesus Christ. And The Things they wrote of Him unto us, they have shared that our Joy may be full. The Message, Which they have heard of Him, and declare unto us is that GOD is Light, and in HIM is no darkness at all.

So again, if The Light of GOD’S Express Glory by HIS Word was shining upon the face of deep, then why could they not comprehend The Light? As we read before from The Testimony of The Word through David, He said, “I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation” (Psalms 40:10).

So in Paul’s testimony of Moses, he wrote and said of Moses that, “By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible” (Hebrews 11:27). Paul also gave to us a definition of what faith is. He said, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” (Hebrews 11:1-3).

So The Word of GOD is Invisible to our eyes. Yet, The Testimony of The Word through the lips of His witness, they have testified that they have seen Him, even The Father has TESTFIED that “the light, that [it was] good” (Genesis 1:4). Paul testified that The Invisible Things of The Word of GOD, Who is The Spirit of GOD, Moses by faith saw both The Father and The Son. Now how did Moses see both GOD The Father and HIS Son? Moses saw HIM by The Written Word upon The pages of The Book, Which is written of The Word of GOD.

In his testimony of what took place after he saw The Word of GOD, Moses wrote the events in The Book, and Said, “…it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.

“And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai. And [till] Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face. But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel [that] which he was commanded. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.” (Exodus 34:29-35).

Just as the skin of Moses face was veil, to speak to the children of Israel, The Word of GOD, Who is Invisible to men, and is The Light and of men, He under the cover of the darkness of the heavens, which were upon the face of the deep, He revealed The Things of GOD, as The Words that moved upon the face of the waters. In The Thick Cloud upon The Mount, Moses recorded The Things of GOD and put in a Book.

Having understood The Truth of The Word of GOD, Who is also The Testimony of GOD, Paul wrote to the church at Corinth and said, “Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some [others], epistles of commendation to you, or [letters] of commendation from you? Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: [Forasmuch as ye are] manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

“And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency [is] of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. But if the ministration of death, written [and] engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which [glory] was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation [be] glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

“For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. For if that which is done away [was] glorious, much more that which remaineth [is] glorious. Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: And not as Moses, [which] put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which [vail] is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:1-18).

Since The Word of GOD reveals The THINGS of GOD, He is The Spirit, Who reveals The INVISIBLE THINGS of GOD. But He also is Invisible. So He Testifies of Himself and The Father through the things He has made to reveal His Faithful Witness of The Father. As it was revealed by Paul on The Things of GOD, he said, “…the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1:19, 20).

Because The INVISIBLE THINGS of GOD are revealed by HIS Word to all, Paul said, “Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:1-7).

As Paul said in his testimony, If the gospel of Christ, is the good news of Him, and this gospel is hid to the heart, and mind, then the gospel is hid to them that are lost. Why? Because in the heart of them that see not The Truth of Christ, the god of this world has blinded the minds of them, which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is The Image of GOD, should shine unto them. As it was stated earlier in this study, “The biggest problem for stealing a Person’s Identity is when the mind of a man, or woman is held in darkness of not understanding The Word of Truth, Who was sent to reveal GOD--The Father to his, or her understanding of HIM.” All The Things that reveals The Truth of Christ to us, these things of nature, which are the evidence of GOD’S Power through HIS Word, these things can become a veil, to prevent a man or woman from seeing The Truth of GOD, WHO by faith in HIS Word they can see through them to behold The Truth.

Notice what Paul has revealed about the Gift of faith to see through the things made to reveal The Invisible Things of Him, to reveal The Things of GOD. Paul said, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18). The things that we do see, like reading the pages of a book, when we turn our hearts to receive The Word of GOD, we by faith see The Eternal through temporal things.

To confirm this, what Jesus said to His disciples, He said, “…Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard [this], said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?” (John 6:53-60)

Notice that the seventy, who walked with Christ Jesus, they were focusing their minds by logical thinking on what Jesus was saying, and they did not comprehend what He was saying about Himself in The Spiritual Things of GOD. As a result they concluded in their minds and said, “This is an hard saying; who can hear it?” In other words, they could not digest, The Meat of The Word of GOD.

John then testified of Jesus and said, “When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? [What] and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that [time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life” (John 6:61-68).

In Peter’s report of The Son of GOD, he said, “For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost” (2 Peter 1:17-21). Notice that The Sure Word of Prophecy remains until the day dawn, and The Day Star arise in our hearts.

Jesus, Who is The Word of GOD, both in Spirit and in Flesh, The Alpha and The Omega, He has Testified through John, a member of His coverings, who testified of Him, and said, “He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I [must] decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him]. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:29-36).

Notice that John, as a friend of The Bridegroom, he testified of What he heard of Him, and he rejoiced greatly, because of The Bridegroom’s Voice, and because of this his Joy was fulfilled. John’s desire was that The Bridegroom should increase, while he decreased. John has testified that “He that cometh from above is above all…” “And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.” However, “He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him]. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.”

Why is it that no man receives His Testimony of What He has seen and heard, as He sought to share His Witness with those, who heard His Voice?

As it was noted above about the characteristic of an Identity Thief, “…other valuable identifying data can be used, if they fall into the wrong hands, to personally profit at your expense.” ( http://www.justice.gov/criminal/fraud/websites/idtheft.html Given the Knowledge that a created being could receive when a created being is joined together in one Spirit with GOD, if that created being has assumed GOD’S IDENTITY, to used the Knowledge gained for personal profit at HIS expense, then there is bound to be problems, when that being assumes the NAME, as GOD, but without The Nature of GOD’S Heart of Love, to rule as GOD by HIS HEART of LOVE. GOD is more than just The TITLE of a Divine Being called GOD. HE and HIS Son have countless lives being sustained by Their POWER, to provide for their every need, long before that need is required. And HIS provision is always on time when it is required.

It is to change the darkness that has blinded the minds of men to The Truth that The Light of GOD’S Word might reach the hearts of every man, woman, boy and girl, to shine The Light of Christ Jesus--The Word of GOD around the world to shine for Him. As Solomon testified to his son of The Word of GOD in his heart and said, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they [are] life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it [are] the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:20-23).

Notice that Solomon has revealed a real Truth of The Word of GOD to all, who will believe in Him, to attend to GOD’S Word, to incline our ears unto HIS Sayings by HIS Word, and not to depart from our eyes from beholding HIS Word. But to keep HIS Word in the midst of our hearts. Why? Because The Word of GOD is Life unto all, who will receive Him, to be health to the flesh of all, who are nourished by Him. And because of this battle that is taking place over the hearts of men, Paul testified and said, “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak” (Ephesians 6:11-20).

Notice that Paul spoke about putting on The Whole Armour of God to stand against spiritual wickedness in high places. And as Christ encamped in the midst of the camp of the children of Israel in the wilderness, likewise, He makes His encampment within our hearts, and GOD’S Heart of Love dwells in Him in us, to be HIS people. Ellen G. White was given words to reveal This Truth to our hearts, and was led to write about, “His Abiding Presence” as the title of a devotional study, with a Scripture text spoken by David, who said, “Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore" (Psalms 16:11).

Ellen G. White testified and said, “This world is our school--a school of discipline and training. We are placed here to form characters like the character of Christ, and to acquire the habits and the language of the higher life. Influences opposed to good, abound on every side. The developments of sin are becoming so full, so deep, so abhorrent to God, that soon He will arise in majesty to shake terribly the earth. So artful are the plans of the enemy, so specious the complications that he brings about, that those who are weak in the faith cannot discern his deceptions. They fall into the snares prepared by Satan, who works through human instrumentalities to deceive if possible the very elect. Only those who are closely connected with God will be able to discern the falsehoods, the intrigues, of the enemy. . . .

“Think of the glory awaiting those who overcome! They will see the face of Him in whose presence there is fulness of joy and at whose right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Let us allow God to control our minds. Let us not say or do anything that will turn a fellow being from the right way.

“I feel very sad as I think of how few there are who show that they have tasted the deep blessedness of communion with a risen, ascended Saviour. Men of the world are striving for the supremacy. God's followers are to keep Christ ever in view, inquiring, Is this the way of the Lord? A holy desire to live the life of Christ is to fill our hearts. In Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. In Him are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

“O that our people could realize what advantages would be theirs if they would look constantly to Jesus! "We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Cor. 3:18). He is our Alpha and our Omega. Pressing close to His side and holding communion with Him, we become like Him. Through the transforming power of the Spirit of Christ, we are changed in heart and life. His words are engraven on the tablets of the soul, and we are His witnesses, representing Him in the daily life.--Letter 47, March 28, 1903, to F. C. Gilbert, a Jewish minister working for his own people." (Conflict and Courage, Page 96)

In the school of Christ, The Word of GOD is very Powerful, and we need to be very careful how we handle GOD’S Word. For it is written that, “In the way of righteousness [is] life; and [in] the pathway [thereof there is] no death” (Proverbs 12:28). David said, “Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. [It is] good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes” (Psalms 119:67).

As a PARENT, WHO watched over the children of Israel in their journeys to Canaan, GOD allow their enemies to afflict them, to correct their errors in going off the path of Life, that they might return to HIM, to have life with HIM. GOD sent HIS Word to Keep His peculiar people in following HIS Will, that all, who would follow The Voice of HIS Word they might be blessed of GOD in doing HIS Will.

In speaking of conflicts and tribulations, Paul spoke and said, “…we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:3-5). And Peter said, “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]” (1 Peter 5:10-). And Paul said, “Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected [us], and we gave [them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened [us] after their own pleasure; but he for [our] profit, that [we] might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby” (Hebrews 12:10, 11).

Then Paul said, “For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and [for] them at Laodicea, and [for] as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:1-10).

With GOD’S IDENTITY being used in the wrong hands, to cause great lost of life at The Expense of The Life of HIS Son, GOD has revealed Key points of HIS IDENTITY that the false gods do not express, as a being, who assume HIS IDENTITY as GOD. Moses, who testified of The LORD God, he wrote and said that, “…he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone. And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth [generation].

“And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it [is] a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance. And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou [art] shall see the work of the LORD: for it [is] a terrible thing that I will do with thee. Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

“Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee: But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name [is] Jealous, [is] a jealous God: Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and [one] call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods. Thou shalt make thee no molten gods” (Exodus 34:4-17).

The idea behind The LORD working in and through and with the children of Israel was that they would be a people, who knew The Only True GOD, and knew HIS Voice, to shine HIS Identity through them, to those, who were in darkness of worshipping false gods. By shining The Light of The Only True GOD to those in darkness to The Truth, and having seen The Truth of The True GOD of heaven, then those, who worshipped false gods, they would have a Knowledge of The Truth, to destroy the false identities that their own hearts were claiming to be as their God. By worshipping the false gods the children of Israel would be making it difficult for those, who did these things, to have fellowship, or to recognize The True GOD, WHO wanted to dwell with them, and they to be with HIM.

Notice what the people were to destroy. They were to “…destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name [is] Jealous, [is] a jealous God”. HE did not say to destroy themselves, because they are to be HIS dwelling wherein The Spirit of HIS Word dwells by their receiving of HIS Word--The Voice, Whom they were to hear that all, who had received HIM by HIS Word, would become sons and daughters of GOD by HIS Word.

The Law of GOD is HIS IDENTITY of LOVE. For it is written by HIS Word, Who said through John, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:1-4).

Notice that there has been a conflict in receiving The Truth of GOD’S Word of Life into the hearts of men and women. The false gods, which have no life in them, all who spend their time worshipping these things will eventually become like them, which are dead, or lifeless. Because only The True GOD, WHO sent HIS Word to men have Life, and can give us Life in HIM, WHO is The only True GOD and HIS Son, Whom HE has sent. Those, who continue to deny The Word of GOD, Who is The Gift of Life to all living things from GOD, The Word of GOD through John has said, “They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them” (1 John 4:5).

But to those, who have ears to hear The Voice of GOD by HIS Word to their hearts, The Word of GOD through John said, “We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.

The Word of GOD through John said, “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:11-16).

Notice that we are the building of GOD’S Dwelling by HIS Word, Who made us for HIS indwelling by The Spirit of HIS Son, Who is The Head of His house, whom we are according to Hebrews 3:1-8. As His dwelling, by The Spirit of GOD’S Word in us John said, “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also” (1 John 4:17-21).

Notice that if we have love one for another, as we have love for The only True GOD, then we will have The Identity of HIS Word, Who writes The NAME of The Father, or HIS Identity upon our hearts that we might know and reflect The Light of HIS Glory by HIS Word of Life abiding in us, to give GOD all the Glory for redeeming us unto HIMSELF by HIS Word, Whom HE has sent.

Another Key point to give as a reason for us to open the doors of our hearts, to The Word of GOD, Who is The Gift of Life to our souls; GOD has revealed to Moses by HIS Word, Who came unto him, and through HIS Word, GOD revealed HIS IDENTITY by The Covenant of HIS Word, Whom HE sent unto men. Moses wrote of The LORD GOD and said, “…God spake all these words, saying, I [am] the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates: For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's” (Exodus 20:1-17).

If someone stole your identity, and sought to destroy every record that could prove your identity and to present their forged record as an original, then how would you go about revealing the truth, if people do not believe that you exist. GOD, WHO has been a VICTIM of HIS IDENTITY being stole, HE has suffered adverse consequences because of the Identity Thief taking advantage of HIS GREAT LOVE for the beings HE has created by HIS Son, Who also suffered greatly, because of Their LOVE.

To make HIMSELF known to men, GOD called unto HIMSELF a people by HIS Word through Moses, to Covenant with the children of Israel, to be their GOD, and they were to be HIS People. But the children of Israel were constantly being enticed, to worship false gods, which are no True GOD, WHO can sustain and give life to HIS creation. GOD also established a day, not just any day that men might choose, but a Holy Day HE Sanctified, and made to use for fellowship with HIS people to be among them and they with HIM. But the Identity Thief worked through men to change GOD’S special day, which HE created to be with the people, whom HE Loved. GOD also made man in HIS Image, which HE defined as male and female. And they were to reveal the same image that HE has with HIS Son, Who is HIS Helper, as Eve was Adam’s helper to him. And GOD made man also to be HIS helper with HIS Son in revealing The Truth of HIS Holy NAME to all. But the image of man working together with GOD, WHO is his CREATOR by HIS Word, this image of man working with GOD has also been stole by the Identity Thief, who is a creation working through men, who also are creations, to change The Image that GOD revealed of HIS Son who, also becoming one with man.

All these things and more are revealing the objective of the Identity Thief, to eclipse The Image of GOD in the minds and hearts of HIS creation, that man might lose all connection with GOD, WHO is The PROVIDER of The Source of the life to man. In one of her devotional's, Ellen G. White was led to write about Moses, which she entitled the topic “God Sent Him”. She quoted the words of Scripture, which says, "Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt" (Exodus 3:10).

"The time for Israel's deliverance had come. But God's purpose was to be accomplished in a manner to pour contempt on human pride. The deliverer was to go forth as a humble shepherd, with only a rod in his hand; but God would make that rod the symbol of His power. . . .

"The divine command given to Moses found him self-distrustful, slow of speech, and timid. He was overwhelmed with a sense of his incapacity to be a mouthpiece for God to Israel. But having once accepted the work, he entered upon it with his whole heart, putting all his trust in the Lord. . . . God blessed his ready obedience, and he became eloquent, hopeful, self-possessed, and well fitted for the greatest work ever given to man. This is an example of what God does to strengthen the character of those who trust Him fully and give themselves unreservedly to His commands.

"A man will gain power and efficiency as he accepts the responsibilities that God places upon him, and with his whole soul seeks to qualify himself to bear them aright. However humble his position or limited his ability, that man will attain true greatness who, trusting to divine strength, seeks to perform his work with fidelity. . . .

"On the way from Midian, Moses received a startling and terrible warning of the Lord's displeasure. An angel appeared to him in a threatening manner, as if he would immediately destroy him. No explanation was given; but Moses remembered that he had . . . neglected to perform the rite of circumcision upon their youngest son. . . . In his mission to Pharaoh, Moses was to be placed in a position of great peril; his life could be preserved only through the protection of holy angels. But while living in neglect of a known duty, he would not be secure; for he could not be shielded by the angels of God.

"In the time of trouble just before the coming of Christ, the righteous will be preserved through the ministration of heavenly angels; but there will be no security for the transgressor of God's law. Angels cannot then protect those who are disregarding one of the divine precepts." (Conflict and Courage, Page 87)

“Millions upon millions have never so much as heard of God or of His love revealed in Christ. It is their right to receive this knowledge. They have an equal claim with us in the Saviour's mercy. And it rests with us who have received the knowledge, with our children to whom we may impart it, to answer their cry. To every household and every school, to every parent, teacher, and child upon whom has shone the light of the gospel, comes at this crisis the question put to Esther the queen at that momentous crisis in Israel's history, "Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14.

A Crisis in Israel
They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image. Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass" (Psalms 106:19, 20)

“In the absence of Moses, the judicial authority had been delegated to Aaron, and a vast crowd gathered about his tent, with the demand, "Make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, . . . we wot not what is become of him." The cloud, they said, . . . now rested permanently upon the mount; it would no longer direct their travels. . . .

"Such a crisis demanded a man of firmness, decision, and unflinching courage; one who held the honor of God above popular favor, personal safety, or life itself. But the present leader of Israel was not of this character. Aaron feebly remonstrated with the people, but his wavering and timidity at the critical moment only rendered them the more determined. . . . There were some who remained true to their covenant with God, but the greater part of the people joined in the apostasy. . . .

"Aaron feared for his own safety; and instead of nobly standing up for the honor of God, he yielded to the demands of the multitude. . . . He made a molten calf, in imitation of the gods of Egypt. The people proclaimed, "These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt." And Aaron basely permitted this insult to Jehovah. He did more. Seeing with what satisfaction the golden god was received, he built an altar before it, and made proclamation, "Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord." The announcement was heralded by trumpeters from company to company throughout the camp. . . . Under the pretense of holding "a feast to the Lord," they gave themselves up to gluttony and licentious reveling.

"How often, in our own day, is the love of pleasure disguised by a "form of godliness!" A religion that permits men, while observing the rites of worship, to devote themselves to selfish or sensual gratification, is as pleasing to the multitudes now as in the days of Israel. And there are still pliant Aarons, who, while holding positions of authority in the church, will yield to the desires of the unconsecrated, and thus encourage them in sin.” (Conflict and Courage, Page 97)

Notice that GOD made man, to reflect HIS Image to testify to The Truth that HE does exist, not only in the heavens, but in the hearts of those, who received and believed The Testimony of HIS Word, Who makes His abode in the hearts of those, who received Him, to live by Him, just as Christ revealed The Father to us through His Testimony by His disciples, who received Him. But what does a message revealed, to the hearts of men and women, when the images that are being depicted of GOD, are portrayed as a molten calf, which has been made to steal HIS IDENTITY to lead HIS people to follow error.

As Peter said, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost” (2 Peter 1:17-21). And these holy men did not make themselves Holy. But they spoke as The Testimony of The Sure Word of Prophecy moved them upon.

Notice The Truth of GOD’S Word, Who is being revealed to our hearts, even by these characters of text, which is written right before our eyes. The Word of GOD, Who is Spirit, He is Invisible to our visual sight, but this does not mean that HE and Son--The Word of GOD does not exist. As Jesus said through His servant David, “…I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book [it is] written of me” (Psalms 40:7), but our eyes would never have seen Him, and our ears would never have heard Him in our hearts, if He had not veil His Face to reveal Himself to us.

A Perfect Example of why Christ Jesus, Who is The Word of GOD, Who became flesh, is recorded in John’s testimony of Him--The Son of Man, Who is The Son of GOD. John testified that, “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:10-14).

All the treasures of His Glory are reveal right before or eyes in The Word of Scripture, or His Testimony through those, who have received Him from GOD, WHO sent Him. Words spoken are not seen, just as The Spirit of GOD is not seen, but we can see The Fruit of The Spirit in the lives of those, who have receive Him, Who gave His Life for “His Purchased Possession”.

It is written that, "For the weapons of our warfare are not worldly but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle to the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4, 5, R.S.V.).

"In dealing with unreasonable and wicked men, those who believe the truth are to be careful not to bring themselves down to the same level, where they will use the same Satanic weapons that their enemies use, by giving loose rein to strong personal feelings, and arousing against themselves and against the work the Lord has given them to do, passion and bitter enmity. Keep Jesus uplifted. We are laborers together with God. We are provided with spiritual weapons, mighty to the pulling down of the strongholds of the enemy. We must in no case misrepresent our faith by weaving unChristlike attributes into the work. We must exalt the law of God, as binding us up with Jesus Christ and all who love Him and keep His commandments. We are also to reveal a love for the souls for whom Christ has died. Our faith is to be demonstrated as a power of which Christ is the Author. And the Bible, His word, is to make us wise unto salvation.

"Let the righteousness of Christ, with its life-giving influence, into the soul, and then you can sing, He forgiveth all our iniquities. You say, I am full of spiritual disease. The great Physician is calling you to come to Him, that He may heal you. He healeth all our diseases. The worst of these diseases are envy, jealousy, evil-surmising, evil-speaking, a desire to follow plans that counterwork the work of God. The lives of all ought to be holy, but they are full of depravity, and because of this, men are easy subjects for Satan's temptations. But if Christ abides in your heart, you can say, He redeemeth our life from destruction: He crowneth us with lovingkindness and tender mercy. Then let songs of praise be upon our lips and in our heart. Meditate upon Christ's sufferings for us. In the place of watching to find something to accuse and condemn in others, thank the Lord that there is forgiveness with Him. Christ is grieved when we criticize and accuse; for this is the work of Satan. Let us draw water from the wells of salvation, and praise the Lord.

"It is not sermonizing that gives evidence that the soul is born again. An appreciation of Christ's tenderness toward the sheep of His pasture gives evidence of this.--Manuscript 46, March 31, 1898, "The Work Before God's People." (Conflict and Courage, Page 99)
