“Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles,
and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in
[their] arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon [their] shoulders”
(Isaiah 49:22).

When GOD spoke by HIS Covenant Word through Moses, to the children of Israel, HE said, “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel” (Exodus 19:5, 6). When Moses presented The Covenant Word of GOD through him to the children of Israel, he was demonstrating to the children of Israel, what GOD would do through them by their obeying HIS Voice, to keep HIS Covenant Word.

The words “Peculiar Treasure” in Hebrew 05459 c@gullah {seg-ool-law'} comes from an unused root meaning to shut up. It means to be HIS “Special”, HIS “Jewel”, HIS “Possession, and Property”, to be a “Valued Property”. And by being GOD’S Peculiar Treasure above all people, they would have been a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation, to be like Moses in ministering GOD’S Covenant Word of Life to all nations, which belongs to GOD. But in the forty years in the wilderness, they were not obedient to The Voice of GOD’S Covenant Word, Who was with them in the wilderness.

When GOD spoke by The Peculiar Treasure of HIS Covenant Word through Moses unto Pharaoh, GOD said to Moses, “…See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land” (Exodus 7:1, 2). It was GOD, Who was being revealed through Moses that made Moses a god to Pharaoh. The Covenant of GOD’S Word written on Stone, and placed in The Ark of The Covenant, was a Symbol of GOD’S Peculiar Treasure in the heart. It reveals a distinct difference from that, which is written in a book, and placed on the outside of The Ark, from The Covenant Word of GOD, which was placed in The Ark of The Covenant. GOD’S Covenant Word must be written upon the tables of our hearts, to be HIS Peculiar Treasure, rather than just written within a book that we keep close to our hearts. It is in obeying GOD’S Covenant Word, to keep The Treasure of HIS Heart in our hearts that makes us HIS Peculiar Treasure above all people.

GOD’S Covenant Word written within our hearts set us apart from the world, to be HIS kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. Without HIS Presence abiding with us and within us, as HIS Peculiar Treasure, we would be just like any other person in darkness and sin.

The Lord GOD said, “Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people…” This prophesy by GOD’S Covenant Word through Isaiah, speaks of GOD’S Standard, to be given to His people. It was through Isaiah that GOD by HIS Covenant Word said, “…in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth” (Isaiah 11:10-12). Notice that this is speaking of not only the Jews, but also the Gentiles, who shall come to GOD’S Standard, HIS Ensign, and to HIS Rest, which shall be glorious.

Isaiah testified and said, “For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, Say ye not, A confederacy, to all [them to] whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and [let] him [be] your fear, and [let] him [be] your dread. “And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me [are] for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion” (Isaiah 8:11-18).

Through Isaiah GOD spoke by HIS Covenant Word and said, “Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, [in whom] my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law” (Isaiah 42:1-4).

Speaking beforehand, before The Hand of The LORD came to dwell among men in His human form, The LORD spoke by HIS Covenant Word to HIS Son, and said, “I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, [and] them that sit in darkness out of the prison house” (Isaiah 42:6, 7).

“And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, [and] his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, [and] the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee. Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages” (Isaiah 49:6-8).

In giving HIS Word, Who came among men, The LORD gave Him, “So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD. As for me, this [is] my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that [is] upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever” (Isaiah 59:19-21).

Through Isaiah, The LORD said, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at [thy] side” (Isaiah 60:1-4).

“For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they [are] the seed [which] the LORD hath blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh [himself] with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth [herself] with her jewels” (Isaiah 61:8-10).

“For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp [that] burneth. And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God” (Isaiah 62:1-3).

On the day that Joseph and Mary brought Jesus, as a babe to the temple, and in speaking of The Great Light that was given to the Gentiles, the prophet Simeon said, “For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him. And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this [child] is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against” (Luke 2:30-34).

Now let us look at The Hand of The LORD, Who has been described by the prophets to the Gentiles. GOD has revealed this Person, as HIS Hand, Whom HE will lift up. Jesus said, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all [men] unto me” (John 12:32). He shall set up GOD’S Standard to the people. He shall stand for an Ensign of the people. And to GOD’S Standard shall the Gentiles seek: and His rest shall be glorious. He shall recover the remnant of His people from the four corners of the earth. He shall sanctify The LORD of hosts Himself; to let HIM be our fear, and HIS Word to be our dread.

For “Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak” (John 12:44-49). And that Commandment He has given to Moses, to give to Israel, to be given to all.

Many people say that there is no Sanctuary, but GOD has revealed by HIS Word through Isaiah that HIS Hand shall be for a Sanctuary. He shall be for a Stone of stumbling and for a Rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. For John said, “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us” (1 John 1:6-10). If there is no law of GOD, then why do we need to confess sin, if Jesus has abolished GOD’S Law?

If GOD’S Covenant Word is in us, as HIS Treasure in our hearts, then The Testimony of GOD’S Covenant Word would be to seal GOD’S Law among His disciples. For it has been prophesied that He and the children whom the LORD hath given Him are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts. For He has said through Paul, “For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified [are] all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me” (Hebrews 2:11-13). The Word Testified through His servant David and said, “I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts” (Psalms 119:63). The question we should consider is this, would we be companions with GOD’S Covenant Word, if we are taught not to keep HIS precepts?

He, as GOD’S Servant by Whom GOD upholds HIS elect, and in Whom HIS Soul delights; HE has put HIS Spirit upon Him, to bring forth Judgment to the Gentiles. GOD has also given Him for a light to the Gentiles, that He may be HIS salvation unto the end of the earth. And there are a lot more defining points that reveals The Hand of The LORD, Who is like unto Moses, who is human, and revealed The Covenant Word of GOD to the children of Israel.

As The Standard of GOD to all men, Jesus said to those, who follow Him, saying “…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). Paul spoke of Him, “Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3). He--Christ--The Word of GOD, He is The Standard--The True Image that reveals The Expressed Image of The Father. The Standard is not Paul, or Ellen G. White, yet, it was through them, who pointed us the Gentiles to Him. And He wants us all, who will receive Eternal Life through Him, to point others to Him, and not to themselves.

There is also a prophesy that is being fulfill even in this our day. And that prophesy is based upon what the prophet Simeon said to Mary. He said to her, “…Behold, this [child] is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against” (Luke 2:34). He--The Son of GOD would be set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel, for a Sign, which shall be spoken against. And today many, who are called by His Name--Christians, they are speaking against Him, as the Sign of fellowship with Him. They are following in the footsteps of the children of Israel, who rejected Him, as their King, to choose in His Place, and to release Barabbas unto them.

To reveal the Truth of what the leaders had done, “Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. For so hath the Lord commanded us, [saying], I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region” (Acts 13:46-49). The Jews were called to be GOD’S messengers, being filled with The Power of HIS Covenant Word, to take HIS Covenant Word of Life to the four corners of the earth, but they rejected GOD’S Word to be like everyone else in darkness and sin.

Many have, and are building their foundation of faith without The Corner Stone of GOD’S Covenant Word. In speaking to the chief priests and the elders of the people, who were rejecting Him, “Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder” (Matthew 21:42-44). And to this day many are rejecting The Corner Stone, Who makes them One with Him, to be GOD’S Peculiar people.

Paul said, “As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed” (Romans 9:33). Paul also said, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds” (Hebrews 12:2, 3).

And Peter said, “If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy [are ye]; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or [as] a thief, or [as] an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if [any man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:14-17).

And because The Truth of GOD’S Covenant Word has been revealed by The Hand of The LORD, David testified of The Word, Who was revealed to him and said, “O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise” (Psalms 98:1-4).

The Hand of The LORD God is The Son of GOD, Who also is GOD’S Covenant of Promise to all, who will receive Him. For The LORD has revealed through His prophet Malachi, who said, “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he [is] like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: And he shall sit [as] a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness” (Malachi 3:1-3).

I hope and pray that this message has been clear to you my brothers and sisters, because GOD has only One Standard, and That Standard is HIS Covenant Word of Life, Who also became one with us, that all, who receive Him might become one with Him, as GOD’S Peculiar Treasure for Eternity. For Jesus prayed to The Father and said, “I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we [are]” (John 17:9-11). It is only, as we are one with Christ--The Son of GOD that GOD can call us HIS children through HIS Covenant Word.
