“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are
When we look at all the examples of buildings and houses around us, some in various forms of new construction, some structures are completed and are occupied for business, and for residential use. Some of these various forms of buildings and houses are in disrepair, and even some that have once stood there ground, but have since fallen to the ground, to be cleared for the replacement and the development of new construction. Although this is what we see, when we look at the economy of many countries that gauge their growth by what is done in their daily interaction with commerce; the concern that is just as important to us, in the growth of the economy is the growth of places of devotion, which is where people gather to commune and focus their hearts, minds and souls, to that which they worship. These buildings and places of devotions all have one common connection, which is this: they are not put into service until the building construction is completed that it might be occupied for service, which is in essence the focus of this study. If the building construction is completed, and there is no electrical power to the building, then it is not ready for service.
Are there new forms of worship in various stages of being completed? Are there places of worship that have been around for along time, and are showing their age? Are there many places of worship that are in various stages of disrepair, and even falling apart? Are there places of worship that are empty buildings that are no longer in use, or occupied by those, who once filled its’ structure, as an organized body of believers?
All these building are visible representations of the mindset of the people that occupy them. Some buildings are geared to serve the secular state of mind, in their organizing and managing their corporations of businesses for worldly gain. And others have a mindset to work for just enough income to retire in their leisure years, to attain their goal of retirement. In other words, they work towards the goals that they have set before them. And although many gather together in their places of worship, to commune and focus their hearts, minds and souls on the objects, sports, and even the people on the big screens, or on the stages of entertainments, which are worshiped, many of these people that commune at these places of worship can loose their focus in the construction work that should be done upon their hearts in this life, to prepare them in meeting the goal for Eternal Life, and their contribution of service in the next.
For while we might have our own buildings of worship, to gather and commune with each other, to focus our hearts, minds and souls on The Holy Pattern of The One, Whom we worship, The House of GOD’S Dwelling is incomplete when the adversary is able, and is hard at work in stealing the hearts of our brothers and sisters, who could be the dwelling place for The Holy One, Who created them, Who gave His Life to repurchase and redeem them from ruin, to be restored by His Life abiding in them, to save them to be with Him forever.
When GOD by HIS Word led Moses and Aaron to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt, they the house of Israel were not the only ones that came out of Egypt and were made to camp at different places along their journey to Mount Sinai. For it is written that “…a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, [even] very much cattle” (Exodus 12:38). After making the whole mountain Holy by The Presence of HIS Glory in the clouds upon the mount before the encampment of Israel, it is written that, “…the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering. And this [is] the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass, And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' [hair], And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood, Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense, Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate. And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew thee, [after] the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make [it]” (Exodus 25:1-9).
Notice that as the children of Israel—the house of Israel moved from place to place, setting up their tents in their encampments, to dwell before The Presence of The LORD their God, The LORD God said to Moses, “…let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.” The LORD by HIS Word called HIS moveable Tent a Sanctuary. A sanctuary is a refuge, a safe haven, a tabernacle that is a consecrated and Holy Place, just as HIS Glorious Presence made the whole mountain Holy, the Sanctuary would be a Holy Place for HIS dwelling, to be among the people. And if HE made HIS Dwelling to be among the people, then His Presence would have made them Holy. They were to give from their hearts the materials towards the making of HIS Dwelling that HE by HIS Word might be among them, as they moved from place to place.
From that time unto the time of king David, The LORD’S Glorious Presence made His abode in a Tabernacle among His people Israel. And it is written that “…it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies; That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains. And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that [is] in thine heart; for the LORD [is] with thee. And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying, Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in? Whereas I have not dwelt in [any] house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. In all [the places] wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?” (2 Samuel 7:1-7).
Notice that The LORD God, spoke by HIS Word to Nathan the prophet, who then spoke to David, who was the visible king, who represented GOD’S Invisible Anointed King, Who reigned over all of Israel. The LORD made HIS promise by HIS Word of Promise, Who said, “I will appoint a place for my people Israel.” “I will set up thy seed after thee.” “I will establish his kingdom.” “I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: But my mercy shall not depart away from him…”
With The Promise of GOD’S Word, it came to pass that “…David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem. Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: [As for me], I [had] in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building: But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou [hast been] a man of war, and hast shed blood.
“Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah [to be] the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make [me] king over all Israel: And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel. And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him [to be] my son, and I will be his father. Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.
“Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave [it] for an inheritance for your children after you for ever. And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do [it]” (1 Chronicles 28:1-10).
Notice that there is much revealed in that which has been promised by GOD to David by HIS Word—GOD’S Invisible King. But The True House of rest for The Ark of The Covenant of the LORD is the hearts of men. David said to his son--Solomon that he must know The God of his father. In other words, he must know David’s God, not the false gods that were of other nations. He--Solomon must serve The True and Living GOD with a perfect heart and with a willing mind, because The LORD God searches all the hearts, and HE understands all the imaginations of the thoughts of men. HIS ability to search all the hearts of men, to know the thoughts of men, has not changed. There is much work to be done in cleaning the hearts of men from the impure thoughts of all the things that have been left behind by the impure things that men and women have chosen to feed upon of this world. We need to be cleansed to be a dwelling here, and even for the dwelling in The Kingdom to come. By allowing the impure things to continue to pass the doors of our hearts, without preventing and repenting of these things, to be purged from our minds, and to be cleansed of the thoughts from within our hearts, many in this time of probation are not made aware of the need to cleanse their hearts from these sins. They are being kept preoccupied from doing that, which needs to be done that they might seek repentance, to turn from their sins, to receive GOD’S Grace to receive HIS Gift of Eternal Life.
David gave to his son a conditional promise that if he would seek to know The LORD God of Israel his GOD, HE--The LORD God will be found by him. But if he forsake HIM, to serve and worship others gods, HE will cast him off forever. And because of the conditions that were attached to The Promise of GOD’S Blessings, David admonished Solomon to take heed to build an house for The Sanctuary of The LORD God of Israel. Many of our brothers and sisters in this world are not choosing wisely, to take heed to the cleansing of their souls. They are being led to worship other gods to forsake The Only True GOD by not taking heed to The Promise of HIS Living Word. There are things in their lives that they need to take to The LORD and by The Power of HIS Word help them to cleanse these thoughts from their hearts that they might be vessels for GOD’S dwelling. But many are unaware of The Gift of GOD to made them complete.
As we today can review the life of David, on how The LORD God gave him the victory over his enemies, the power that was working behind his enemies were of an invisible adversary, who has been seeking to rule and spread his commands of lawlessness upon all the earth. This is only a glimpse of a much bigger conflict, and one that is invisible to men, a battle that has been taking place in this world for generations.
Many have wondered and have asked the question, Why would The LORD God fight with David against his enemies? The LORD gave The Promise of HIS Word to Moses and said to even him, saying, “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name [is] in him. But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
“Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil” (Exodus 23:20-26).
Notice that these kingdoms that were cut off from life, they were kingdoms that worshiped false gods that had no life to give those, who worshiped them. David said to his son Solomon, to seek to know The LORD God of Israel, and not to forsake HIM. It is the same reason that Jesus said, “…this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3). Are we taking the time to receive The Promise given by GOD’S Word, to know The Only True GOD and HIS Son, Whom HE has sent?
When we open The Scriptures to read the events of this world’s history from the beginning, the scene that is presented to us is a battle already in progress. The prince of darkness was spreading his darkviews against The Anointed King of Heaven. The King is The Christ, Whom GOD has appointed, as King over all HIS Kingdoms of heavens and earth.
In the visions and revelations of John, who bore witness of Him, he said, “…he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God…” (Revelation 19:16, 17). That Angel is The Son of GOD, Who reveals in Himself The Expressed Image of His Father, WHO Anointed Him with HIS Holy Presence. It was HE The Father, WHO spoke by HIS Son to Moses and revealed that HIS NAME was in HIS Angel, HIS Messenger to all. And That Same Angel of The Promise is The Son of man, Who made it possible to be born again in this world as a man, to be The Seed of David, to fulfill His Promise to David, to sit upon The Throne over all Israel. The question for us today is this: Are we securing our hearts to serve Him in His Kingdom?
Once we can comprehend the conflict that is still taking place over the hearts of men, we can see by the examples of the conflicts with the enemies of David that those, who kept not the commands of his kingdom, they were seen as traitors, who were either working with the enemy to prevent David from being king over his people Israel, or his enemies were working to remove David from sitting upon the throne by plotting and leading the hearts of the people to seat someone else upon the throne. The Same Word of Promise, Whom GOD gave to Moses, David accepted as his own. For The LORD God gave to Moses the conditions of HIS Blessing, that “if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.”
The adversary had been spreading his dark views against GOD’S Kingdom, and against The Commandment of HIS Kingdom from before the world was even created. GOD—The Father and HIS Word--The Son of GOD made this world and man to be the means of revealing The Truth of GOD’S Goodness and HIS Grace, and HIS Mercy and HIS Judgments in HIS Word, Who is HIS Everlasting and Living Covenant between GOD and all of HIS creation by HIS Word. To reject The Covenant of Life in HIS Word, the angels and men that join themselves with Satan in rebellion are cutting themselves off from Eternal Life in GOD and HIS Word. And to keep man from seeing the root of their sin, Satan keeps men from accepting GOD’S Law, Which is The Law of Life with all, who are joined in fellowship with GOD and HIS Son.
For it is written by David of The LORD God that, “He [is] the LORD our God: his judgments [are] in all the earth. He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word [which] he commanded to a thousand generations. Which [covenant] he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, [and] to Israel [for] an everlasting covenant” (Psalms 105:7-10).
Because of the invisible battle that is taking place all around us, many within this world are unaware of their rebellion against The King, Who bought and paid for our redemption that we might return from the kingdom of darkness and death, by receiving His Life in us, to live with GOD by His Life forever more. In the words of Moses, The Word of The LORD spoke by him and did promised that “…the number of thy days I will fulfil” (Exodus 23:26). He, Who is The Light and Life of men, He will sustain each one, dwelling in Him, to have His Gift of Life. And because it was revealed to Moses the time in which we now live by GOD’S Gift of Grace and Mercy in HIS Word, Moses wrote a message in song to this final generation.
Moses said, “…it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call [them] to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
“If [any] of thine be driven out unto the outmost [parts] of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee: And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers. And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee. And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day. And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
“If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, [and] if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. For this commandment which I command thee this day, it [is] not hidden from thee, neither [is] it far off. It [is] not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither [is] it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
“But the word [is] very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, [and that] ye shall not prolong [your] days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, [and] that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he [is] thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them” (Deuteronomy 30:1-20).
Notice that we are the Sanctuary that is built for the indwelling of The Holy One, The King in Whom is The NAME of His GOD. By obeying His Voice to keep His Covenant in our hearts, we receive Life and Good, and not death and evil. Christ Jesus said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
“If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full.
“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.
“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. But [this cometh to pass], that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning” (John 15:1-27).
Notice that Christ Jesus has revealed that He is The True Vine, which means that there is a false vine, which has branches that are not connected to Him, Who is The True Vine. And those, branches that do not bear Christ Righteous Fruit, are they, who do not allow Him to keep His Covenant Law of Life through them. For Christ Jesus has revealed to us how we may prove to Him that we love Him, by keeping His Commandments. While the broad road that leads to destruction are those, who are discarding the keeping of The Covenant of GOD’S Love in HIS Word, those, who are not being sanctified, or made Holy by The Truth of GOD’S Word; they will be among those, who know not The Truth by GOD through HIS Word. For Jesus said, “…no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
The Spirit of GOD’S restraining Grace is slowly being withdrawn from the earth, because men are rejecting more and more of The Spirit of HIS Grace. Men are living as though GOD has given to then a license to sin, to reject HIS Covenant of Life in them, to live any which way they please, like the nations around Israel that were worshipping false gods. Christ Jesus has revealed that The Father, WHO does HIS works through Him, HE takes away every branch in Him that does not bear His fruit of Righteousness, which is His Righteous works through those, who believe in Him. And every branch that does bear His fruit of Good works of righteousness through them, HE--The Father works to purge the works of sin from them, that those branches may bring forth by HIS Word more fruit of Christ Righteousness.
Although Christ Jesus has won the victory of the battle between Himself and the adversary, He has given to us time to accept the terms of His Kingdom, to see, who will serve Him, from him, who will serve Him not. As He said to His disciples, without Him we can do nothing. And if we are trying to keep The Commandments without Him, Who is The Covenant of Love in our hearts, then we would be unable to fulfill The Command to love GOD and our fellowman. But if we abide in Christ, and GOD’S Covenant Word of Life abides in us, to sanctify us by His Presence of Truth, then as His dwelling place, we shall ask of Him what we will, and it shall be done unto us according to GOD’S Will by HIS Word of Promise. The Father is glorified in Christ, Who is glorified in those, who bear His fruit of Righteousness, to be His disciples in following Him to The Father. As the Father hath loved Christ Jesus, so also has Christ Jesus shown His love to us, by keeping His Father’s commandments that we also might follow Him in the keeping of His Covenant of love, toreveal His love to others. If ye keep His commandments, we shall abide in His love; even as He has kept His Father's commandments, and abide in HIS love.
"For we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). "You need at every step the faith that works by love and purifies the soul. This faith quickens and uplifts the soul by the nobility of holy practice. It is essential to everyone who is running in the race for eternal life. It raises the soul into a purer, holier atmosphere, enabling its possessor to look forward to higher and still higher attainments and to discern clearly the dangers of a life of self-indulgence. Look by faith above yourself and see in the work of God the way to gain the riches that can be laid up beside the throne of God. O the height and depth of the knowledge that may be obtained by unreserved consecration to God. The Lord will have the whole man, or none at all. His favor cannot be purchased with gifts of money. He calls for the gift of the whole heart.
“It is not necessary for us to know the results of our course of action before we surrender wholly to God. We do not need to see the way, or to know what the future will be. One thing we do know, because God has said it--the man that fears God and works righteousness will be accepted by Him. This is enough for us to know. Day by day walk before the Lord in humility and contrition. Your future destiny depends on your own course of action. "Choose you this day whom ye will serve" (Joshua 24:15). "If the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him" (1 Kings 18:21). Be one thing or the other. "Ye cannot serve God and mammon" (Luke 16:13). Your present happiness and your future well-being depend on your own choice. If you choose to follow Jesus, you must obey the word, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me" (Matt. 16:24).
“Eternal life is for all who eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Son of God--living by every word that proceeds out of His mouth. Those who do this will gain a clear understanding of what it means to be one with Christ.
"The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace" (James 3:17, 18). Two people may engage in the same acts of outward worship, yet the service of one, when weighed in the golden scales of the sanctuary, may be found wanting, while the service of the other may be accepted. Only the service that is performed in sincerity, with a humble, contrite heart, is acceptable to God.--Letter 39, Feb. 28, 1903, to a Seventh-day Adventist businessman. (The Upward Look, Page 73)
"Behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain" (Isaiah 26:21). "There is coming rapidly and surely an almost universal guilt upon the inhabitants of the cities, because of the steady increase of determined wickedness. The corruption that prevails, is beyond the power of the human pen to describe. Every day brings fresh revelations of strife, bribery, and fraud; every day brings its heart-sickening record of violence and lawlessness, of indifference to human suffering, of brutal, fiendish destruction of human life. . . .
Our God is a God of mercy. With long-sufferance and tender compassion He deals with the transgressors of His law. . . . The Lord bears long with men, and with cities, mercifully giving warnings to save them from divine wrath; but a time will come when pleadings for mercy will no longer be heard. . . .
The conditions prevailing in society, and especially in the great cities of the nations, proclaim in thunder tones that the hour of God's judgment is come and that the end of all things earthly is at hand. We are standing on the threshold of the crisis of the ages. In quick succession the judgments of God will follow one another--fire, and flood, and earthquake, with war and bloodshed. . . .
The storm of God's wrath is gathering; and those only will stand who respond to the invitations of mercy, . . . and become sanctified through obedience to the laws of the divine Ruler. The righteous alone will be hid with Christ in God till the desolation be overpast. Let the language of the soul be: "Other refuge have I none; Hangs my helpless soul on Thee; Leave, Oh leave me not alone! Still support and comfort me. "Hide me, O my Saviour, hide, Till the storm of life is past; Safe into the haven guide; Oh, receive my soul at last!" (Maranatha, Page 67)
Are we taking refuge in The Dwelling GOD--The Father has provided for the comfort of our helpless souls? The Sanctuary of HIS Word is a Refuge, a Safe Haven, a Tabernacle that is a Consecrated and Holy to guide and show us The Way to The Father.
