It was Jesus, Who said to His disciples, "If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you" (John 14:15-17).

After receiving and understanding The Gift of GOD, John testified and said, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin" (1 John 3:1-5).

If sin is the transgression, or the breaking of the commands of GOD, which is the works of the devil being manifested in us, and The Gift of GOD was manifested in us to take away our sins of transgression, then is our repentance from sin by The Spirit of GOD a life of not keeping the commandments of GOD? Yet, we are instructed by the enticing words of man's wisdom, that we are saved into The Kingdom of GOD to live a life apart from keeping the commandments of GOD. How is it that man can break GOD'S Law and sin, which brings death and yet be saved by GOD through The Gift of HIS Son to live a life apart from keeping HIS Law? Is The Spirit of GOD in men a license to sin?

The Word of GOD testified through His servant John and made it clear to us, saying, "Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God" (1 John 3:6-9).

Christ came not into the world to destroy man, but to destroy the works of the devil in the hearts of men that causes men to sin against GOD. John testified and said, "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith" (1 John 5:2-4).

By our faith in Christ, we overcome the world, which is the work of receiving The Gift and Power of GOD in us to destroy the works of the devil in our lives. But if we are being overcome by the world, it is because the enemy is seeking to deceive our hearts from receiving The Gift of GOD to have faith in Christ. Paul testified and said, "Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

"Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. [Is he] the God of the Jews only? [is he] not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: Seeing [it is] one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law" (Romans 3:19-31).

Notice that it is because of sin that all have come short of The Glory of GOD. Both Jews and Gentiles have come into this world with a heart turned away from GOD. We are all in the same sinking boat of sin and are guilty before GOD. By the act of one man, we all in him were doomed to death, even if we now perfectly keep the Law of GOD. But a Door of Salvation has been revealed to us that we all might be restored to GOD through the act of HIS dear Son, Who took away the years of guilt in Himself.

Paul makes it clear that we are restored, or made right with GOD as if we had never sinned by our faith in The Gift of HIS Son. He also makes it clear that our faith in Christ does not make void the Law of GOD. For Christ did not come to destroy the Law or the prophets, but to establish the Law in righteousness. For it is by breaking the Law that we came under its condemnation, which results in death, but Christ saved us by taking what we deserved and giving to us what He had in Himself that we might be free not from the law, but from the penalty of breaking the Law.

Through His servant Isaiah, The Word testified and said, "The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

"And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien [shall be] your plowmen and your vinedressers. But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: [men] shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. For your shame [ye shall have] double; and [for] confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

"For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they [are] the seed [which] the LORD hath blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh [himself] with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth [herself] with her jewels. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations" (Isaiah 61:1-11).

By The Gift of GOD, we are restored to righteousness with GOD, to restore that which has been torn down over many generation. Paul presented a message to the church in Rome, and said, "...I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

"Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:16-22).

The reason many in the world cannot receive The Spirit of Truth to do the works of Truth is due to their lack of seeing Him, or knowing Him by faith. For GOD has made the invisible things of HIM understandable and known through the things HE has made, that we might comprehend and receive HIS Revelation in our hearts. Yet, HIS Revelation and the receiving of HIS Spirit of Truth can only be revealed by HIM and received by us on condition of our Love for HIM and our obedience to HIS Will. For Jesus said, He will pray to The Father to give us another Comforter on our meeting the condition of showing our love for Him by keeping His Commandments. If the revelation of The Spirit of Truth is conditional, would HE then reveal The Spirit of Truth to those, who love HIM not and do not The Father's Will? Is The Lord obligated to pray to The Father to give Another Comforter to abide with those, who neither love HIM, nor know HIM?

The question then is this, "Has the other Comforter been revealed to those, who call on The NAME of Lord, saying, Lord, Lord open unto us?" Do we know Him, Who is dwelling among us and is seeking and willing to abide in us? Or do we stand with those, who drink from the wisdom of the world in presenting what the world claims to have received from Him?

In seeking to receive a clear revelation of the Holy Spirit that we might know Him and receive Him, we need to commit ourselves firmly to The LORD and obey HIS Will that we might not be open to the spirit of error. By faith, we must look at The Perfect Example of how Jesus became known to us as the Son of God. By understanding The Perfect Example on how He was revealed to us, then through Him, HE will confirm to our hearts how The Spirit of Truth is revealed. To receive HIS Revelation of The Spirit of Truth, the question for which we must seek an answer is this, "How did Jesus become known to men as The Son of GOD?" This is the demonstration, in which we will be studying in this study, that we might know the means by which The Spirit of Truth is revealed to us.
