What does The Scriptures teach us about Communion?
And for what purpose was it given?

Until we have a proper understanding of the word "communion", we are unable to see by faith what it was that Jesus was revealing to those, who would continued to walk with Him, and to understand The Spiritual Things GOD would reveal to us through Him. For the word "communion", is defined by the Greek as that word that reveals the condition, or the relationship between Jesus and those disciples, who would continue to be with Him. It is a word that reveals the condition of the relationship between Christ and His church, or the relationship between His members.

According to the Strong's concordance of the Bible, the Greek word for Communion at number 2842 is "koinonia" {koy-nohn-ee'-ah}. It is defined as "fellowship, association, community, joint participation, intercourse, or the share which one has in anything, participation, intercourse of fellowship, intimacy. It is defined by the dictionary as unity, spiritual union, empathy, close association, relationship, close connection, affiliation, rapport, a close bond, liaison, close link, or correlation.

With the words given above to help define and understand what it means to be in communion with each other, and with Christ, we need also to look again and again at some of the things that Jesus said and did with His disciples that are often times not connected to our understanding of the word communion. And because we do not make the connection, or the link between these sayings and what He did in His relation to them, we are unable to enter into the deeper things relating to The Spiritual Things of GOD. A perfect example of this is shared with us in and through the testimony of John, who received and walked in close communion with The Word of GOD.

Through John, The Word testified to us, saying, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us [his] flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever" (John 6:44-58).

There is much that is revealed here in these words that would reveal Things of a deeper nature in our communion with Christ, or His communion with us, but as it was then in the relationship between Christ and many of His disciples and the Jews, so it is now in these last days with many within the church and the world. If you, like the Jews at that time with many of His disciples, who did not digest what Jesus was saying, I would recommend that you go back and chew again on What GOD has revealed to us through HIS Word before you swallow. Because, although Jesus spoke openly to all His disciples and to the Jews, there were Spiritual Things that many of them could not enter into with Him, because of their lack of communion with Him, or their communion and understanding of The Word. As the majority of Jews for hundreds of years did their rituals, which pointed to The Christ, Who would come, they still missed Him when He stood right before them, ministering to those, who would believe on Him.

In the same way, many within the church are doing things as a ritual year after year without fully comprehending the purpose for doing these rituals. Today, many of the pastors and ministers of The Word can bring the members of their congregation only as far as they themselves are willing to enter into communion with The Word of GOD. Some might even be in the work of driving many of the members away from their close communion with Christ, because of their lack of understanding and communion with Him. For John, speaking of the deep Spiritual Things of GOD that Jesus openly revealed to them, testified to the church and said, "These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard [this], said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?" (John 6:59, 60)

If our leaders cannot digest, or understand What GOD has revealed, and is revealing to us by and with HIS Word, then all, who follow their leadership will do the same in not understanding The Word of GOD. John testified and said, "When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? [What] and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that [time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot [the son] of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve" (John 6:61-71).

There were many things that the Jews and the majority of His disciples could not understand about Christ. And because of this, they were unable to enter into close communion with Him, which cause them to do things to prevent others from receiving Him and entering into close communion with Him. Some, who have great influnce over the majority within the church, are doing the same things today. These things were done at that time when Christ was physically dwelling among His people, and they are being done again while He is Spiritually dwelling with us today. They are being done by those, who believe not in The Word, Who was revealed and delivered unto them. For if they did believe The Word of GOD, then they would not be so quick to accept and change The Word of GOD to fit the wisdom of men.

Matthew testified and delivered to us What he believed The Word of GOD revealed to them, saying, "While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, [The Son] of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any [man] from that day forth ask him any more [questions]" (Matthew 22:41-46).

Notice that Jesus sought to open The Door of communion between Himself and the Pharisees, who were gathered together, or communing together. By raising questions to give Light to their darken minds and hearts, He sought to draw them into communion with Himself. And although they were not inspired to give an answer to the questions GOD raised by The Light of HIS Word shinning on them, to draw them close to Him, they sought not to ask Him questions to know The Truth of The Word for themselves, but chose rather to not follow HIS leading by The Light given to them in HIS Word. To their blindness, Matthew testified of what Jesus said of them, saying, "Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, [that] observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay [them] on men's shoulders; but they [themselves] will not move them with one of their fingers.

"But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, [even] Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, [even] Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in" (Matthew 23:1-13).

The opportunity was given by GOD through HIS Word to draw the scribes and the Pharisees into The Kingdom of Heaven, which is that close communion with GOD through HIS Word. And although they chose not to enter into His Kingdom through communion with HIM, they sat at The Door of that communion, controlling the minds of the people that they might not observe The Things of GOD to enter into communion with GOD through HIS Word. As the keepers and teachers of their understanding in observing and doing of The Law, the scribes and the Pharisees, who had great influence over the people, led the minds of many to turn aside to reject The Communion GOD had provided to men through the receiving of HIS Son. By not receiving HIS Son, to enter The Kingdom of Heaven, or That Special Communion with GOD, and choosing rather to reject HIM when they chose to reject HIS Son, the majority of the Jewish leaders were left in darkness with no Light to Guide them into close Communion with GOD. Today, many are still doing the same thing, by keeping out those, who seek to enter into That close communion with GOD through The Guidance in receiving HIS Word.

But GOD did not leave the Jews then, and neither did HE leave His church today without another means for men to come into close communion with Him. Matthew testified of what Jesus said to those, who had the opportunity to receive Him, and to lead men to Him, but chose to shut The Door to The Communion GOD provided through HIS Son. He said, "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. Woe unto you, [ye] blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! [Ye] fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.

"[Ye] fools and blind: for whether [is] greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. [Ye] blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. [Thou] blind Pharisee, cleanse first that [which is] within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead [men's] bones, and of all uncleanness.

"Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. [Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and [some] of them ye shall kill and crucify; and [some] of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute [them] from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [thou] that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under [her] wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Matthew 23:14-39).

Notice who it was that Jesus said He had sent to them, to guide them into close communion with Him. The word "he" who would come in The Name of The Lord, is not being used as a singular pronoun, but as a plural noun to reveal whomsoever He would send to men in His Name. But they killed those, who were sent to them, and persecute them from city to city, even standing before their congregation, and in the ears of the people, scourged in rejection those, who were sent of GOD to guide them back to Him. And with the knowledge that the hour was come that He should depart out of this world and return to The Father, and that Judas would also betray Him in that hour, Jesus loved His disciples, who were to remain in this world. Knowing also that The Father had given Him all things, or that The Father had delivered all things into His hands, Jesus did something for and to His disciples to reveal to them that, which they had not known about Him, or His plans for them. To bring this knowledge to their understanding, He arose after supper and laid aside His outer garments and girded Himself, or He fixed to Himself a towel and poured water in a bason, or a container and began to wash and wipe the feet of His disciples with the towel, which was girded about Him.

As He was coming over to wash the feet of Peter, Peter said to Him, “Lord, do you intend to wash my feet?” In response to his question, Jesus said something about what He was doing to them, which to this day has not been fully understood by many within the church. He said to Peter, “What I do, thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter" (John 13:7). Without understanding the purpose, or the intent of what Jesus was illustrating to them, Peter said to Him, “Thou shalt never wash my feet" (John 13:8). This Peter said to show that he should be the one to serve and wash the feet of his Lord, and not the other way around. But to make His purpose clear to him, Jesus answered and said to Peter, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me” (John 13:8). By this answer to Peter, Jesus was revealing the focus of His illustration in what He was doing to not only Peter, but to all the disciples, who were to partake and commune with Him.

And with that eye opening revelation in not having apart with Christ, and not wanting to be separated from Him, Peter responded to Jesus and said, “Lord, not my feet only, but also [my] hands and [my] head” (John 13:9). But his answer showed that he had not fully understood the intent of the foot washing and what was being revealed by the illustration of Christ washing and wiping the feet of His disciples. Many in the church today are doing, or not doing the ordinance of foot washing, because they know not, or understand not the intent of what Jesus was revealing to His disciples. To correct Peter's understanding and to bring his focus back to what was being revealed, Jesus said to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash [his] feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean” (John 13:9-11).

Notice that the revelation Jesus has illustrated to His disciples made it known to them that He knew what would take place in that hour, and that they were not all clean in the path they had chosen for their feet. There was at lease one person among the twelve, who appeared clean on the outside, but within he was full of extortion and excess, and needed to be clean both inside and out. In other words, his feet and his heart need to follow The True Path. And before hand, Jesus wanted His disciples to know without one speck of doubt that He wanted them to partake and commune with Him, and that they were called to His side for a purpose, which they had not known. Today, in the same way, as it was then, The Lord knows what will take place on planet earth in these last days. He knows the hour that we are living in, and that not all, who are calling themselves Christians are on the path to communion with Him. They are not following The Path GOD has chosen to Guide their feet unto HIMSELF. As it was with many of the disciples, who were among the elect, but turned aside to betray Him, to walk no more with Him, likewise, because of the influence of the enemy through those, who trusted more in the wisdom of men, many today have departed from the faith, which was once delivered to the saints, because they could not digest and understand What GOD had revealed to them by HIS Word, but chose the wisdom of men, who had great influence over them.

As Jesus loved His disciples then and His church today, He wants us to know without one speck of doubt that it is His desire that we be partakers with Him. However, like Judas, who was deceived into turning aside from his close fellowship with Jesus and the other disciples, and was never rejected by them, many within the church are being turned aside away from The Way, The Truth and The Life, because of the leaders who appear righteous unto men, and with great influence over the people, lead them astray. And because not all the disciples were clean by their betrayal of their Lord, not all Christians can be declared clean just by being called by that Name. As Jesus said of the scribes and Pharisees, who appeared clean on the outside to the people, He, Whose dwelling is on the inside was saying to His disciples, and all, who will follow Him that from His point of view, we need to be clean also on the inside to walk and commune with Him.

John testified and said, “…after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am. If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him” (John 13:12-16).

Jesus did not take and girded Himself with a dirty towel, to wash and wipe the feet of His disciples. Neither did He call to His side men, who would have no part with Him in washing and wiping the feet of those, who desired to come into close communion with Him. As the woman was healed and made clean by her faith in touching the hem of His garment, which girded Him, likewise, those, who would come by faith into close communion with Christ in these last days, need to come into contact with Him through those, who know Him best; just as The Father draws us to HIMSELF through HIS Word, Whom HE has sent. However, before the disciples could partake of Him, in presenting HIS Word in the work of cleansing those, who would commune with Him, The Father needed to cleanse the hearts of His disciples by their receiving and believing The Truth of HIS Word, Whom HE had sent. Many of the Jews and His disciples could not enter into close communion with Him, because they could not receive and digest The Word of Life in their hearts. And today, many within the church cannot enter in because of the same. But Peter, speaking for the twelve, said, "...Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God" (John 6:68,69).

With certain doctrinal views being promoted by the leaders of the church today, many of the members do not believe on the inside what they proclaimed on the outside; that Jesus is really The Son of The LIVING GOD. And unless they believe and are sure of WHOSE Son He is, they cannot come into close communion with The Father through Him. And this is the work of the enemy, to keep the hearts and minds of men blinded to The Truth that they might not partake of The Truth of GOD, WHO is revealed by HIS Living Word. By causing men to be blinded to The Truth of The Word, and to turn aside from The Way, The Truth and The Life, to follow the ways, and the wisdom, and influence of men, who are being led by the intruder of The fellowship between GOD and man, Paul by his belief in The Word of GOD through him, said, "...[it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame" (Hebrews 6:4-6).

Many have been led to believe in the wisdom of men, and to shut the door of their hearts to The Living Word of GOD. As a result, there are many, who seek a closer walk in communion with Christ, but remain in darkness, and have never tasted, or have been enlightened to receive The Truth, Who draws them into that close communion to know GOD for themselves. Because of the scribes and the Pharisees, Jesus said to the multitude, "...Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Matthew 23:39). And to this day, the enemy has kept many from digesting, or understanding what Jesus meant by these words. Yet He had revealed to the multitude and to His disciples that He was sent to them through the prophets, and wise men, and scribes, who were made partakers with Him, in doing The Father's Will, but they killed and crucified, and persecuted those, whom He had sent to them, even Him, Whom The Father had sent to them, to reveal The Truth of HIS Will. As He illustrated in the foot washing, He laid aside His outer garment and girded Himself with a towel, to do the work of washing and wiping the feet of His disciples. The following questions is raised to shed Light to the darken minds of men, who continue to crucify and influence His church to go against The Word of GOD.

What could Jesus do today, as He did then before He put on His Garment of flesh?
And Who was it that washed and wiped the feet of His disciples?
Was it the towel that was girded about Him, or was it The Holy One,
Who girded Himself with the towel?

In the same way as He worked The Father's Will through men of old, to reveal The Things of GOD to men, could The Father not work through men, who received HIS Word, to draw His people back to communion with HIMSELF? Jesus said it this way, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life" (John 6:63). In other words, it is not the towel, or the flesh of men, who works with Him in doing The Father's Will. But it is what The Father can do through Him, or what He can do with a towel, or through the flesh of men, who work and partake with Him in doing The Father's Will.

It was through one of His disciples, who at first understood not the intent of the foot washing, and through whom Jesus called to His side to reveal to His church The Will of GOD. "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

"Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, [even] the salvation of [your] souls. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace [that should come] unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning [here] in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

"Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh [is] as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you" (1 Peter 1:1-25).

Who was it that testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ? Was it a Third Divine Being, Whom the enemy has led the world to believe in, which blinded men from seeing The Truth? or was it Christ before His Garment of Flesh, Who worked in close communion with those, who believed and trusted in Him? It was through Peter and the other disciples, whom The LORD called by their faith in receiving and believing in HIS Word, to minister His Words through the gospel to His church; just as HE did by HIS Word in the times of old through the prophets, wise men, and the scribes, whom He sent to His people, to call them back to His side, to reveal The Things, Which even the angels desired to look into. Peter was there with the other disciples when Jesus said to them, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me. Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am [he]. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me" (John 13:16-20).

By this saying above, Jesus has made it clear that no one can come into close Communion with Him without first communing with Him, and receiving and believing in Him through those, whom He has sent in His Holy Name. And if that one, who goes in His Name do not receive and believe The Truth, to commune with The Father through Him, Whom The Father has sent in HIS MOST HOLY NAME, then that person, who proclaims the wisdom, and the traditions of men, to reject The Truth; he has shut The Door to The Only Way to receive and commune with The Father, WHO sent HIS Word in HIS HOLY NAME. This will apply also to those, who seek to come into close communion with GOD, but receive the wrong image from those, who present the corruptible seed instead of The Incorruptible Word of God, Who lives and abides forever. For Jesus said, "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves" (Matthew 23:15). If men are presenting things that are different from The Word of GOD, then they are blind to the work of the enemy and his influence through them on the minds of the people, who trust them.

In their close communion with Christ, Jesus had confirmed to His disciples that they were correct when they called Him Lord and Master. He said to them, "If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet" (John 13:14). As He was sent to serve and wash our feet to follow in close communion with Him, likewise, as He girded Himself with a towel to wash their feet, He can gird Himself to work through our flesh, to wash and wipe the feet of those, who have been turned out of The Way, to come again into close communion with Him. For it is written that GOD, by "...his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead" (1 Peter 1:3). It was Jesus, Who said unto them, "He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me" (John 6:56,57).

It is through that close connection and communion with Christ, which is much closer than a brother that He shared The Things, Which were hard for most of His disciples and the Jews to digest. And by not receiving and believing in Him, they could not receive The Father, WHO sent Him. In sharing The Things of GOD with His disciples, "...Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and [he] to whom the Son will reveal [him]. And he turned him unto [his] disciples, and said privately, Blessed [are] the eyes which see the things that ye see: For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen [them]; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard [them]" (Luke 10:21-24).

Many will open and read The Scriptures and not see The Things that are openly reveal there to draw us into close communion with GOD through HIS Word. The question could be raised, "How can His people come into close communion with Him and The Father when they don't believe what HE, The Father has revealed to us by HIS Word through those, who heard and believed in Him? If men believe not The Scriptures, which is of GOD through HIS Word in and through those, who were sent by Him, then how do they expect to come into close communion with HIM when they don't receive HIS Word? For it is written of GOD through David, who received and believed in HIS Word, saying, "Thy way, O God, [is] in the sanctuary: who [is so] great a God as [our] God?" (Psalms 77:13)

In other words, there was no way for one to enter The Holy Place without first entering in through the court of the temple and being cleansed at the laver before entering into The Holy Place. And there is no way to enter into The Most Holy Place, or The Holy of Holies without entering in and through The Holy Place, to dwell in The Most Holy. In the same way, a person of the world cannot come into a knowledge of GOD, unless he or she has first come into close communion to be cleansed by those, who have been cleansed by GOD'S Word. And we cannot know and dwell with GOD, unless we first come into close communion with HIM through our receiving and believing in HIS Word, Whom HE has sent.

After Jesus had wash the feet of His disciples and had revealed to them The Deep Things that The Father had revealed through Him, John testified and said, "...he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake. Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake. He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped [it]. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave [it] to Judas Iscariot, [the son] of Simon. And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly" (John 13:21-27).

From the beginning, the intruder has been leading men astray, to turn aside from their close communion with GOD through HIS Word. He has deceived men into opening the door of their hearts to him that he might accomplish and disrupt the plan of the fellowship, which GOD had in mind for man from before the foundation of the earth. By opening our hearts to this intruder through the feeding and digesting of his fruit, is like a cancer through which he works through men, to tear apart the fellowship between GOD and man. By shutting The Open Door of communion between GOD and man, men are deceived into walking apart from The Light and Life of The Word of GOD to walk in darkness and death. And because not all men are in close communion with GOD, to lead men back to GOD by HIS Word, the hearts of many are wide open in search of those, who might lead them back to that close communion with GOD by HIS Word. The question is, "Are we among those, who are in close communion with GOD to lead men back to HIM by HIS Word? or Are we among those, who are blinded to The Truth, and work with the help of the intruder to lead men to turn their hearts aside from The Way of GOD, to receive and follow the ways of tradition?

By his close communion with GOD through HIS Word, Paul testified and said, "...seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us" (2 Corinthians 4:1-7).

From the picture and the text above, you can see that without The True Light to discern the path to walk in close communion with GOD, those in darkness cannot find The Way that leads back to GOD. Notice also that if the enemy is blinding the minds of men from seeing The Truth, then from their darken minds and point of view, there appears to be three divine being in The Godhead. But according to The Word through Paul, who was cleansed by The Word to renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, to not walk in craftiness, or handle The Word of GOD deceitfully, but through close communion with The Word, The Father's Glory and Knowledge is seen and revealed in The Face of Jesus Christ.

If the enemy has blinded the minds of men from receiving The Truth, Paul has made it clear to the conscience of men that the enemy is seeking to keep the minds of men from receiving The Light of Truth to their hearts. But out of the hearts of those, who communion with The Word, The Light of The Glorious gospel of The Knowledge of The Glory of GOD, shines from their hearts, to give Light to those, who are in darkness to The Truth. Without The Light of Judgment to Guide the feet of men in The Way he should go, men are lost in darkness and death. And if the world is in darkness, and has influence the church to walk in darkness to The Truth, then what is it that needs to be done to bring understanding back to those that seek to be saved? Through Paul, The Word has revealed that The Light of The Knowledge of the glory of God, as seen in the face of Jesus Christ in those, who have an un-obstructed view by their faith in Him, must shine HIS Light from their hearts to those, who would be cleansed by Him, to walk by faith in close communion with Him.

It was through Moses, whom The LORD by HIS Word called to His side to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt unto Himself, that they might learn of GOD and HIS Way through The Sanctuary Service. But over the years, the children of Israel allowed the influence of other nations to intrude on The Way they were instructed to worship The LORD. This intrusion in there service of cleansing distorted the path they were to follow in communion with The Lord. The LORD by HIS Word sent prophets to guide them back into fellowship with HIMSELF, but as Jesus said, they killed and crucified those, who were sent to them, because of their blindness. Again GOD sent HIS Word, this time in the form of Flesh, to wash with His Own Spirit those, who would respond in being restored, as His people, to walk in The Way, The Truth, and The Life, Who was revealed through the Sanctuary service, and is revealed in the Spiritual Sanctuary through those, who served in ministering The Word, to cleanse the hearts of those, who will walk in close communion with GOD through HIS Word.

As we look back at the events of history, men were led by the intruder to reject and kill The Holy One, Who Mediated for them to come to Him, but GOD did not leave His people without the means for them to come back to HIM. Again the intruder worked through men to turn the church aside from The Way of Light and Truth to walk in darkness and death by their traditions. Even those, who were sent to them in Christ Name were killed or persecute for their faith. In an age of darkness, men were called to shine again The Light of GOD'S Word, but the influence of the intruder through their blindness and tradition controlled the minds of men in how they were to receive and understand The Word of GOD. This led to multiple versions of The Scriptures, to present and handle The Word of God deceitfully. Generation after generation, GOD worked by HIS Word through those, who communed with HIS Word, to cleans the hearts and minds of His people from the errors that blinded them from seeing and walking in Spirit and in Truth.

The time had come, and for fifty years in the making, the foundation of HIS Spiritual temple had been laid to cleanse the hearts of those, who would come to Him through those, who were communing with HIM through HIS Word. But like generations before them, those, who had great influence, or sought for great influence over the people, led the minds of the people to view The Spiritual Things of GOD through the traditions and wisdom of men. As the spiritual leaders, who communed with The Word died off by old age, those, who were elected by men to leadership position within This Sanctuary of called out ones, became dependent on men to guide them in their collective spiritual understanding of The Word GOD had already revealed by those, who communed with Him. With no spiritual understanding on Whom This Spiritual Sanctuary was built, men in their craftiness of handling The Word of God, and without the members knowledge, they removed from the foundation of faith, The Central Pillar on Which all the other doctrines rest. In other words, they rejected The Corner Stone on Which This Sanctuary of communion of Faith was built. And the reason given for doing what they did, was in a sense, to hold the same views with the other religious groups, whose view of The Spiritual Things of GOD needed to be cleansed and washed by those, who should have known Him best.

But this is not the first time that this has happend in history between GOD and His called out ones. It is written that, "...an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this? Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be [as thorns] in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.

"And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept. And they called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there unto the LORD. And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land. And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel. And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, [being] an hundred and ten years old.

"And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathheres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash. And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel. And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim: And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that [were] round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger. And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

"And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies. Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed. Nevertheless the LORD raised up judges, which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them. And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; [but] they did not so. And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.

"And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, [that] they returned, and corrupted [themselves] more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way. And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice; I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died: That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep [it], or not. Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua" (Judges 2:1-23).

As we face these last days in earth's history, GOD is still on the throne, looking for His people, who will turn from their stubborn ways, and return to That Close Communion with Him, Who sticks closer than a brother. He did not leave His Called out ones in the dark without a warning of what would happen if they continue on their path. It was through one, who communed with Him that The LORD revealed by HIS Word what would happen to The Sanctuary He had built through those, who by their faith communed with Him. This person wrote and said,

"About the time that Living Temple was published, there passed before me in the night season, representations indicating that some danger was approaching, and that I must prepare for it by writing out the things God had revealed to me regarding the foundation principles of our faith. A copy of Living Temple was sent me, but it remained in my library, unread. From the light given me by the Lord, I knew that some of the sentiments advocated in the book did not bear the endorsement of God, and that they were a snare that the enemy had prepared for the last days. I thought that this would surely be discerned, and that it would not be necessary for me to say anything about it.

In the controversy that arose among our brethren regarding the teachings of this book, those in favor of giving it a wide circulation declared: "It contains the very sentiments that Sister White has been teaching." This assertion struck right to my heart. I felt heartbroken; for I knew that this representation of the matter was not true. Finally my son said to me, "Mother, you ought to read at least some parts of the book, that you may see whether they are in harmony with the light that God has given you." He sat down beside me, and together we read the preface, and most of the first chapter, and also paragraphs in other chapters. As we read, I recognized the very sentiments against which I had been bidden to speak in warning during the early days of my public labors. When I first left the State of Maine, it was to go through Vermont and Massachusetts, to bear a testimony against these sentiments. Living Temple contains the alpha of these theories. I knew that the omega would follow in a little while; and I trembled for our people. I knew that I must warn our brethren and sisters not to enter into controversy over the presence and personality of God. The statements made in Living Temple in regard to this point are incorrect. The scripture used to substantiate the doctrine there set forth, is scripture misapplied.

"I am compelled to speak in denial of the claim that the teachings of Living Temple can be sustained by statements from my writings. There may be in this book expressions and sentiments that are in harmony with my writings. And there may be in my writings many statements which, taken from their connection, and interpreted according to the mind of the writer of Living Temple, would seem to be in harmony with the teachings of this book. This may give apparent support to the assertion that the sentiments in Living Temple are in harmony with my writings. But God forbid that this sentiment should prevail."

(Selected Messages Book 1, page 202, 203)

Through her writings in this same chapter on "A View of Approaching Danger", The Lord revealed what would happen as a result of their not taking heed to His warnings through her writings. And for many generations, which came into the fellowship since her death, the things that The LORD said would happen, has happened, because of the same reason that led the children of Israel to depart from The Way of The LORD. And knowing that the fellowship was founded on The Truth, the generations following her death knew not that the Corner Stone had been removed from within the church, and changed to side with the views of other religious groups. Looking to the future for the events she said would happen, they knew not that these things had already taken place, and have all been fulfilled as it is written in her writings. The same can be said for much of the events that Paul says would take place before the coming of The Lord.

The leaders had led the church to fall away from The Truth to lose The Knowledge of GOD in HIS Word, even though they had The Light of GOD in their possession, same as the Jews, who preserved and had the oracles of GOD in they hands. But many of them had never entered into close Spiritual communion with GOD through HIS Word. And because of the leaders in their controversy over the views of the book "Living Temple", many sided not with The Light given by GOD through HIS Word, but relied on the views of the other religious groups around them for their spiritual understanding of What GOD had already revealed to them through HIS Word. They were to share What GOD had revealed through them, to wash and cleanse the hearts of those, who were in darkness, but they allowed the influence of the other religions to control how they viewed GOD, WHO had revealed HIS Way through The Sanctuary of communing by faith with His people. Today men are calling for the out pouring of HIS Spirit to wash and fill their empty vessels, but they don't know Who GOD is, because they have not received and believed HIS Word through those, Whom He has sent in His Name.

Are the people today willing to obey and do what He has called us to do, to wash and wipe our feet from walking with the intruder, who has deceived us from our Spiritual Fellowship and Communion with HIM through HIS Word?

Through His servant Jeremiah The LORD testified by HIS Word, and said, "They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD. Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness. Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed. Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou [art] the guide of my youth? Will he reserve [his anger] for ever? will he keep [it] to the end?

"Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest. The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen [that] which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot. And I said after she had done all these [things], Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw [it]. And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.

"And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah. Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; [and] I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I [am] merciful, saith the LORD, [and] I will not keep [anger] for ever. Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD. Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

"And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit [it]; neither shall [that] be done any more. At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers. But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.

"Surely [as] a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD. A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping [and] supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, [and] they have forgotten the LORD their God. Return, ye backsliding children, [and] I will heal your backslidings..." (Jeremiah 3:1-22).

When Jesus said to the scribes and Pharisees, "Behold, your house is left unto you desolate...", He was saying that they had rejected The Word of GOD, and had shut the door of their own hearts to the receiving of HIS Word, Who brings Light and Life to their darken hearts and minds. By their rejection of His communion with them and dwelling with Him, He gave them a bill of divorce, because they communed no more with Him. However, He left a door open for them to return to Him, when He said, "Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Matthew 23:39).

Through Paul, The LORD by HIS Word pleads for His people, to hear and obey HIS Voice, saying, "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty" (2 Corinthians 6:14-18).

As we know from our study of The Word that the final days would be in quick succession. Would you shut The Door to HIS call of Mercy through HIS Word, to wait for another opportunity, which may never come? Were the Jews known for seeking the latter rain in the time of Jeremiah, to share their faith to other nations? Could The LORD be speaking only of the physical Jews, or is HE speaking of the fellowship of spiritual Jews, who were led by the intruder to turn aside from The Way of communion with HIS Word? Like the woman who was caught in adultery, with many standing around, and ready to throw stones at her; we all have committed adultery with the enemy at some point in our lives, and we all need to confess, and acknowledge our own iniquity, to The Only Holy One, Who could intercede on our behalf in HIS Spiritual Sanctuary, through our communing by faith with Him. Did He not say, "...I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world" (Matthew 28:20). For HE said by HIS Word through His friend John, saying, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us" (1 John 1:9,10).

In the days of old, the sanctuary system was setup and given for our learning, to reveal to us The Spiritual Things that were hard to understand without reflecting on the sanctuary that was built. Through Paul, The Word of GOD revealed and said, "Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service [of God]. But into the second [went] the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and [for] the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which [was] a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; [Which stood] only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed [on them] until the time of reformation.

"But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us]. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:6-14)

The Sanctuary service was a visual presentation of a Spiritual application in the cleansing and the restoring of Life to those, who had been led to turn aside from their communion with GOD, and trust and rely on that which was created by HIM, rather than in HIM, WHO is The SOURCE of all Good Things from above. Again, Jesus reveals The Spiritual Temple and its' service when He said, "...Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Through their close communion and service in spreading The Word of GOD, the disciples were engaged in the service of giving Light and Life to those, who were in darkness and death in this dark world. And if they were to turn aside and walk no more with The LORD by HIS Word, Who has The Words of Eternal Life, then they would have followed the other disciples to walk in darkness, to serve in the work of the intruder in spreading across the land the fruit of death. For it is written, "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth" (John 1:10-14).

It was in receiving Him and communing with Him that John said, "...A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I [must] decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him]" (John 3:27-34).

The work of washing and wiping the feet of one another is the work of serving and cleansing our hearts to serve in going before Him and preparing the hearts to receive Him, just as the disciples did when they give and fed the five thousand and more with the bread given by Him. Jesus said, "...Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever" (John 6:53-58).

In these last days of earth's history, many are going to there graves by these calamities in the land and the sea, without knowning The Truth as to why they were here, and who they were called to commune with. The enemy has been seeking to keep men from receiving The Truth of GOD for about six thousand years. And he is willing to cause much unrest in the hearts of men in the world, to prevent them from coming to The knowledge of The Truth. The LORD by HIS Word said, "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find [it]" (Amos 8:11, 12). Although their are many versions of man's interpretations of The Bible, the hearts of men are not receiving The Truth of The Word. As John said of Him, "...what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony" (John 3:32).

Through the writings of The LORD'S servant, The Word revealed the condition of the earth in the last days. These statements were selected and placed in a book called Christian Service. And in the chapter called "Restraining Spirit of God Being Withdrawn", She wrote and said...

Restraining Spirit of God Being Withdrawn

The restraining Spirit of God is even now being withdrawn from the world. Hurricanes, storms, tempests, fire and flood, disasters by sea and land, follow each other in quick succession. Science seeks to explain all these. The signs thickening around us, telling of the near approach of the Son of God, are attributed to any other than the true cause. Men cannot discern the sentinel angels restraining the four winds that they shall not blow until the servants of God are sealed; but when God shall bid His angels loose the winds, there shall be such a scene of strife as no pen can picture.--Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 408.

The days in which we live are solemn and important. The Spirit of God is gradually but surely being withdrawn from the earth. Plagues and judgments are already falling upon the despisers of the grace of God. The calamities by land and sea, the unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude. The agencies of evil are combining their forces, and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis. Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones.--Testimonies, vol. 9, p. 11.

The time is at hand when there will be sorrow in the world that no human balm can heal. The Spirit of God is being withdrawn. Disasters by sea and by land follow one another in quick succession. How frequently we hear of earthquakes and tornadoes, of destruction by fire and flood, with great loss of life and property! Apparently these calamities are capricious outbreaks of disorganized, unregulated forces of nature, wholly beyond the control of man; but in them all, God's purpose may be read. They are among the agencies by which He seeks to arouse men and women to a sense of their danger Christian Service page 52.

The Evidence of Scripture is The Judgment of GOD'S Word to reveal The Truth to those, who continue to walk with HIM in close communion with HIS Word. All, who are partaking of The Communion with Him, are partaking of something more than just the ordinance of foot washing, or the taking of the bread and wine. For The Word of GOD has revealed through the prophets; and speaking of Enoch, Who communed with HIM through HIS Word, Moses wrote and said, "...Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he [was] not; for God took him" (Genesis 5:22,24).

It is made clear to us through those, who were sent in His Name, to reveal The Bread by Whom they lived by. For John said, "The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him" (John 3:35,36). All the calamities of disasters by land and sea, cannot compare to the danger of not receiving and communing with The Son of GOD, Who gave His Life to save you and me, to be with Him and The Father in close communion forever.

Through Peter, it was revealed, saying, "Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time" (1 Peter 1:3-5).

May it be your desire to receive The Gift GOD has given, and share through close communion with Him, The Good Gift you have received from GOD above. This is what John was saying, when through him it was said, "...Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters" (Revelation 14:7). In other words, Good Judgment must begin at The House in Whom GOD dwells. For it is written, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" (Psalm 119:105).

Although it is GOD’S Will to lead us by HIS Word back to HIM, and because of the blindness of men, who are without The Truth; it is not known whom the enemy will turn aside to stop The Truth from being delivered and received by men. All we can do is to receive The Word and allow Him to live out His Life of Mercy and Grace in and through us to those, who need to come and commune with The Father through Him. "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only [so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us" (Romans 5:1-5).
