And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall
In giving a name to his son, Lamech, who was five hundred and ninety five years when his son was born, he said, “...he called his name Noah, saying, This [same] shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.” “And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth” (Genesis 5:29, 32).
The Word of The LORD said that, “...it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years” (Genesis 6:1-2).
Some, in reading The Scriptures, have conclude that phrase "the sons of God" in this passage of Scripture is referring to angels, who had relations with the daughters of men. But they have come to this conclusion, because they were not following The Word of GOD, in allowing Him to reveal The Truth of GOD, as revealed in HIS Word. Paul says, “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together” (Romans 8:13-17).
Notice that the sons of God are those, who are led by The Spirit of GOD. This means that they are following The Leadings of The Spirit, according to The Will of GOD their Father. And if they are being led by The Spirit, Whom they have received, then they are the children of God, and heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, to call upon GOD, as their Father. It was through The Spirit of GOD—The Word of GOD that GOD spoke to Moses, to speak unto the children of Israel. For HE said by HIS Word, “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him. And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD” (Exodus 19:5-8). After speaking The Covenant Word of GOD to the children, “...the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold” (Exodus 20:22, 23).
The sons of God in the time of Noah were being led after the flesh of the daughters of men, which in this case, were those daughters, who were of the family of Cain. For he had rebelled against The Covenant Will of GOD, to kill his own brother Abel, and left the family of Adam and Eve with one of his sisters, to start his own family, which follow not GOD Will by HIS Word. And since Cain rebelled against GOD, his descendants were not in connection with GOD, by HIS Spirit, Who was given of GOD to Guide them in The Way back unto HIM.
As an example of one who was a son of God, Solomon was a man, who was filled with The Wisdom of The Spirit of The LORD. But The Word of The LORD said that, “...king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, [and] Hittites; Of the nations [concerning] which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: [for] surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, [that] his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as [was] the heart of David his father. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as [did] David his father.
“Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that [is] before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods. And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded. Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant. Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: [but] I will rend it out of the hand of thy son. Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; [but] will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen” (1 Kings 11:1-11).
Notice that the concern that The LORD had for the sons of God, in the time of Noah were that their hearts were being turned away from following The Spirit, Who was given to lead them back to The LORD their GOD. They were following the gods, which were no gods. It is with this same concern that The LORD has for this generation in our day, that HE has said by HIS Word, “...as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed” (Luke 17:26-30).
The Son of Man is being revealed in these last days, and this prophecy is about to be fulfilled. But how many would be saved at His coming? In the time of Noah, The Same Spirit preached through Noah to his generation for one hundred and twenty years. And when the time came for his generation to make that finial decision to step across the line from indecision, to a decided decision, to step into the ark and be saved from the flood, only eight souls were saved in the ark of safety. The same opportunity has been give to this generation through the gospel of salvation. The question that each person must make for himself, or herself is this: will he, or she step into The Living Ark of Safety to be saved? not from an economical problem, but from a world wild destruction from fire and brimstone from heaven?
There are many, who are playing the role of church members, but they are not real church members. For the church is not a man made building, or a club of members, who form different rules to govern how they will run their club. The church is The Ark of Safety, The Sanctuary of Christ Body, wherein His Spirit, Who dwells in them, leads the members of His Body. Paul said, “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses [was faithful] in all his house. For this [man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. For every house is builded by some [man]; but he that built all things [is] God. And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in [their] heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God” (Hebrews 3:1-12).
Notice that there is a condition of being in The Sanctuary of His Rest, “if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.” But many have been deceived into departing from The Living God, to follow the lust and pride of the world. For Paul said, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). And because many of the sons of God--the leaders of the church have been led away, to follow false doctrines from the daughters of men, they have been led, to loose The Knowledge given to them by The Spirit of GOD, and to follow the doctrine of false gods. For the teaching of these false doctrines have entered into the faith, to take over The Church of The Living GOD and make His dwelling his own. And because of this mixing error with The Truth, the people of God, who know not The Truth, cannot distinguish between The Truth and the error.
The Spirit of The LORD spoke through Isaiah, “Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because [they have] no knowledge: and their honourable men [are] famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst” (Isaiah 5:13). And through Jeremiah, The Spirit of The LORD said, “Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not: Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand [for] the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. Your iniquities have turned away these [things], and your sins have withholden good [things] from you. For among my people are found wicked [men]: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so [are] their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. Shall I not visit for these [things]? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love [to have it] so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?” (Jeremiah 5:21-31)
Through His prophet Hosea, The Spirit of The LORD said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” (Hosea 4:6). The Law of GOD is HIS Covenant Word of Life--HIS Promise to be their GOD and they are to be HIS people. But they have rejected The Covenant of GOD’S Word, Whom they were to keep. And because the people lost their hold on The Covenant of Life between them and GOD, they were brought again into the spirit of bondage to fear, and were led to worship false gods by wicked men, who were in among His people.
To help us to discern The Truth from the error, The Spirit of Christ in John said, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him” (1 John 4:1-9).
Notice that those, who confess The Truth, they are able to do so, because The Spirit of Truth, or The Covenant of Life is in them, for He is greater than he that is in the world. Yet, as it was in the days of Noah, men have lost The Knowledge of The Spirit of GOD, to follow the doctrines that are not of GOD, but of the god of this world. Just as Eve was deceived by the adversary, and shared his doctrine with Adam, to cause him to loose his connection with GOD through HIS word. Many are so blinded by the enemy today that they say that they preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, yet declare that GOD is a Mystery. The gospel of Jesus Christ is His Testimony of what He has seen and heard of GOD, Who spoke HIS Will—HIS Thoughts, HIS SPIRIT in and through Him, and have revealed These Treasures to men, as The Light and Life to men. John said of Him, “...what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him]. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:32-36).
As it was in the days of Noah, and Lot, things remained the same until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all, and until the same day that Lot went out of Sodom that it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all. Who was it that was destroyed? All, who were not in the ark of safety, and all, who did not leave the city with Lot, or turned back for their gods that was left in the city, which caused them to turn away from GOD and HIS word.
The doctrine of the daughters of man that have crept into the faith, to lead the sons of God away from The Truth, is the doctrine of The Trinity, which is not of GOD. And because some have been teaching this doctrine for so long, they are quick to reject the notion that this teaching, which appears to be Biblically based, could deceive them. And they would deny that it is a doctrine of error. Yet, it is revealed by John that The Father has put all things into HIS Son’s Hand, that all, who believe on Him, would have everlasting Life. The Spirit, Who preached through Noah to his generation, was not a third Divine Being, but The Same Spirit, Who is of GOD, Who was preaching through His servant Noah, who as a member of His Own dwelling, proclaimed The Spirit of GOD through him to the hearts of men. All the prophets of Scripture will confess that The Spirit of Truth in them, Who came to them is The Word, Who is of GOD.
Even Ellen G. White, who wrote to the members in hers generation and said of Him, “All through the pages of sacred history, where the dealings of God with His chosen people are recorded, there are burning traces of the great I AM. . . . In all these revelations of the divine presence, the glory of God was manifested through Christ. Not alone at the Saviour's advent, but through all the ages after the fall and the promise of redemption, "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself." Christ was the foundation and center of the sacrificial system in both the patriarchal and the Jewish age. Since the sin of our first parents, there has been no direct communication between God and man.
“The Father has given the world into the hands of Christ, that through His mediatorial work He may redeem man, and vindicate the authority and holiness of the law of God. All the communion between heaven and the fallen race has been through Christ. It was the Son of God that gave to our first parents the promise of redemption. It was He who revealed Himself to the patriarchs. Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses understood the gospel. They looked for salvation through man's Substitute and Surety. . . .
“The cloud of incense ascending with the prayers of Israel represents His righteousness that alone can make the sinner's prayer acceptable to God; the bleeding victim on the altar of sacrifice testified of a Redeemer to come; and from the holy of holies the visible token of the divine presence shone forth. Thus through age after age of darkness and apostasy, faith was kept alive in the hearts of men until the time came for the advent of the promised Messiah.
“Jesus was the light of His people,--the light of the world,--before He came to earth in the form of humanity. . . . From Him has come every ray of heaven's brightness that has fallen upon the inhabitants of the earth. In the plan of redemption, Christ is the Alpha and the Omega,--the First and the Last.” (That I Might Know Him, Page 102)
If all of Scripture reveals to us The Light of Christ, Who has revealed to the hearts of men in both The Old and The New Testament, then for men to teach that The Spirit is a third person, they have fallen away from The Truth of The Holy One, Who is The Light and Life of men, Who is in men, and Who came to be with men, as The Man Christ Jesus, The Only Mediator between GOD and man. For John said of Him that, “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:10-14).
Paul said that He became flesh according to Hebrews 2:14, to become like men, that we might become like Him, as He is The Example—The Man Christ Jesus. We become like Him by receiving Him in us, to have His Divine nature according to 2 Peter 1:1-4. Jesus has become a Quickening Spirit according to 1 Corinthians 15:45-47. Yet, He is The Same Spirit, Who is of GOD in The Flesh, as a man, as we are that He might be The Head of all, who are born of GOD by Him.
He said through Isaiah, “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me [are] for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion” (Isaiah 8:18). Also in Hebrews by Paul, He said, “And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil” (Hebrews 2:13, 14)
As a member of Christ dwelling, or The Spirit in His Own temple of flesh, Paul testified of Him, Who was in him and said, “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil” (Hebrews 2:13, 14). Jesus, Who is The Christ—The Head over His Own House, which we are, He being a Member of His Own Body like unto men, He said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you” (John 14:15-20).
Notice that Jesus, Who is The Christ in The Flesh, or The Spirit, Who became Flesh, to reveal Himself to men, because they could not see Him as The Spirit, or knew Him; He said to His disciples that He was dwelling with then and would be in them, if we keep His Covenant of Life. Yet, the adversary has blinded the minds of men, who say No, The Spirit is a third person, who would come in the place of Christ. Yet Christ Jesus has testified and said, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you” (John 14:18). But this Testimony they reject to hold to their own beliefs.
At another time with the Jews, “…one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment. And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:28-31).
In her writing about the Covenant of Life to men, Ellen G. White wrote and said, "In the twelfth chapter of Revelation is represented the great conflict between the obedient and the disobedient. The sign of obedience is the observance of the Sabbath of the fourth commandment. The Sabbath is a test to this generation. In obeying the fourth commandment in spirit and truth, men will obey all the precepts of the Decalogue. To fulfill this commandment one must love God supremely, and exercise love toward all the creatures that He has made.
The time is coming when God's people will feel the hand of persecution because they keep holy the seventh day. . . . The man of sin, who thought to change times and laws, and who has always oppressed the people of God, will cause laws to be made enforcing the observance of the first day of the week. But God's people are to stand firm for Him.
Let no one yield to temptation and become less fervent in his attachment to God's law because of the contempt placed upon it; for that is the very thing that should make us pray with all our heart, and soul, and voice, "It is time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void thy law." Ps. 119:126. Therefore, because of the universal contempt, I will not turn traitor when God will be most glorified and most honored by my loyalty. . . .
Shall Seventh-day Adventists relax their devotedness when all their capabilities and powers should be placed on the Lord's side; when an unflinching testimony, noble and uplifting, should come from their lips? "Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold." Ps. 119:127. When the law of God is most derided and brought into the most contempt, then it is time for every true follower of Christ . . . to stand unflinchingly for the faith once delivered to the saints. (By Ellen G. White "The Faith I Live by", Page 291)
The Covenant of Life is Bond of Life between GOD and man by HIS Word to men, and our word of promise by His Spirit in us to keep GOD'S Word of Power. Christ Jesus does not just come to dwell with us, but in us. For He prayed to The Father and said, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me” (John 17:17-23).
Christ has revealed that The Father was in Him reconciling the world unto HIMSELF. He was in His prophets, and in His disciples reconciling the hearts of men back to GOD. Just as He was in Noah preaching for a hundred and twenty years, to those, who would respond to His call, He is preaching today through those, who have received His Treasures in their vessels, to proclaim Him to this world of darkness and death, that they might come into His Marvelous fellowship of Light and Life. He said to His disciples, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me” (John 13:20). And He said, “He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me” (Luke 10:16).
In teaching His disciples about Himself, He said unto them, “...Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some [say that thou art] John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 16:13-17).
It is The Spirit of Christ, Who is of The Father, Who had revealed The Father’s Answer to Peter. For if The Spirit of Christ was in Peter, and The Father is revealed through His Expressed Glory of HIM, them Jesus confirmed to Peter that it was not of His Flesh and Blood that revealed The Truth unto Peter, but it was of His Spirit, Who dwells in all, who receives Him, to be in them, and when He returns from The Father, He will again be with those, who have received Him already by His Spirit.
For Ellen G. White wrote and said, “Christ has encircled the race with His human arm, and with His divine arm He has grasped the throne of the Infinite and united man with God, and earth with heaven” (Child Guidance, page 525 par. 3, 4). She also said, “Christ came to stand at the head of humanity, and to demonstrate that through the power of the Holy Spirit it is possible for man to withstand Satan's temptations. With his long human arm the Saviour encircled humanity, while with His divine arm He grasped the throne of the Infinite. . . . (Reflecting Christ, Page 237 par. 4) To confirm this view of both His Divine and Human Natures, a third witness from her writings is presented, where she wrote and said, “As we approach God through the virtue of the Redeemer's merits, Christ places us close by His side, encircling us with His human arm, while with His divine arm He grasps the throne of the Infinite. . . . Yes, Christ has become the medium of prayer between man and God. He has also become the medium of blessing between God and man. He has united divinity with humanity. . . .” (God's Amazing Grace, Page 85 par. 4, 5).
Notice that in each of these quotes from her writings, she has noted that Christ has a Divine Arm and a Human Arm, but she speaks of The Same Person. This is what she meant, when she wrote about The heavenly trio. For she said, “The Comforter that Christ promised to send after He ascended to heaven, is the Spirit in all the fullness of the Godhead, making manifest the power of divine grace to all who receive and believe in Christ as a personal Saviour. There are three living persons of the heavenly trio. In the name of these three powers,--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will cooperate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ. (Bible Training School, The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, March 1, 1906 par. 2)
Some might think that Ellen White is speaking of the same teaching of The Trinity that they teaching. But there are a few important differences, in that the doctrine of the Trinity, speaks of Three Co-Eternal, Co-Equal Divine Being, Who have no beginning. And The Son is not The Real Son of GOD, but God The Son, Who is equal with GOD, and plays a role, as The Son of GOD. And The Spirit is God The Holy Spirit, Who is The Power, Who works to draw men to Christ and to GOD. Yet, The True Image of GOD is revealed in The Son of GOD, Who is The Expressed Glory of The Father in Himself. He was not revealing a partial revelation of The Father, to have another divine being makeup for what He lacked. No, The Scriptures says of The Father that, "...he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him]" (John 3:34). He in His Spiritual Nature, reveals The Fullness of The Godhead before the earth or man was even created. After man was led to fall away in sin, He became The Spirit in The Flesh, as a man, to manifest Himself, as The Man Christ Jesus—The Only Mediator between GOD and man--The Same Fullness of The Godhead being veiled in the form of Flesh. And because The Son of GOD is The Spirit, or The Word, Who is of GOD--The Father, Who dwells in all, who will receive His Spirit in them, to become sons of God, The Father does not recognize Him as another person, but has Testified more than once that He is HIS Only Begotten Son. And we are One with Him, and in Him in GOD.
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil” (Hebrews 2:13, 14).
In Luke’s testimony of Christ, he said of Him, “...when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see [it]. And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after [them], nor follow [them]. For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one [part] under heaven, shineth unto the other [part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” (Luke 17:20-25).
He will suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation, in the same way that the children in the time of Noah rejected Him through His servant Noah, and every other generation, who rejected His call to receive Him, as The Light and Life of men. Are men are women rejecting Him, even in these last days? Luke testified of Christ and said, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this [man] to reign over us” (Luke 19:10-14).
To make that decision, of rejecting The Son of Man, or The Son of GOD, Who gives us life by dwelling in us, and Who desires to be One with us, the members of His Body of Flesh, whom we are, men and women, who say that they will not have Him to reign over them, they are rejecting Him and His Covenant of Life in them by rejecting His Law of Love for GOD and for their fellowman. He said through Solomon, “Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed [are they that] keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed [is] the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death” (Proverbs 8:32-36).
But to those, who love Him and have received Him, He has prayed to The Father that those, who received Him, as The Word of Life, they might have knowledge of The Truth. For He said, “...this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received [them], and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.” (John 17:3-10).
It's each person’s choice to remain lost in darkness and death without Him for ever, or to be One with Him and have Eternal Life, by receiving from Him His Gift of Life, to dwell with The Father forever. As It was said through Paul, “Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years….Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God” (Hebrews 3:7-9, 12).
Ellen G. white says, “Jesus desires to efface the image of the earthly from the minds of His followers, and to impress upon them the image of the heavenly, that they may become one with Himself, reflecting His character, and showing forth the praises of Him who hath called them out of darkness into His marvelous light. If you have been permitted to stand in the presence of the Sun of Righteousness, it is not that you may absorb and conceal the bright beams of Christ's righteousness, but that you may become a light to others. . . . There are persons who have received the precious light of the righteousness of Christ, but they do not act upon it. . . . They prefer the sophistry of the enemy rather than the plain, "Thus saith the Lord." . . . The character we cultivate, the attitude we assume today, is fixing our future destiny. We are all making a choice, either to be with the blessed, inside the City of Light, or to be with the wicked, outside the city.
"The principles which govern our actions on earth are known in heaven, and our deeds are faithfully chronicled in the books of record. It is there known whether our characters are after the order of Christ. . . . Are we wise virgins? . . . This is the question which we are deciding today by our character and attitude. . . .
To be pardoned in the way that Christ pardons is not only to be forgiven, but to be renewed in the spirit of our mind. The Lord says, "A new heart will I give unto thee." The image of Christ is to be stamped upon the very mind, and heart, and soul. The apostle says, "And we have the mind of Christ." Without the transforming process which can come alone through divine power, the original propensities to sin are left in the heart in all their strength, to forge new chains, to impose a slavery that can never be broken by human power. . . . When Christ comes, the balances of heaven will weigh the character, and decide whether it is pure, sanctified, and holy. . . .
Happiness is the result of holiness, and conformity to the will of God. Those who would be saints in heaven, must first be saints upon the earth; for when we leave this earth, we shall take our character with us, and this will be simply taking with us some of the elements of heaven imparted to us through the righteousness of Christ. . . . The experience that follows complete surrender to God, is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.--Review and Herald, Aug. 19, 1890. (By Ellen G. White "Reflecting Christ", Page 303)
When the people in the generation of Noah rejected his call to enter the ark of safety, they were rejecting The Spirit of Christ, Who was preaching through him to them that they might be saved. And if they have rejected The Word of GOD, Who was sent in the flesh of men, then they are rejecting The Father, WHO sent HIS Word in them and with them to bless the hearts of men to receive HIS Favor of HIS Gift of Life by HIS Word.
As The Word through David said to his son Solomon, “And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee” (1 Chronicles 28:9). He is not a Mystery to those, who search for HIM with all their heart, especially if they have received HIS Son, Whom HE has sent unto them to reveal HIM, as a blessing to all, who will receive Him. I pray that you will be, not of the foolish virgins, but of the wise virgins, to hear and accept His call, to be led by Him from darkness and death, to enter into His Marvelous Kingdom of light and Life before it is forever to late to do so. Amen.
